Takeda Intake

I purchased the Takeda intake yesterday from a shop near me. Got home took it out of the box to check it out. Looks very nice! I have used AEM, injen, fujita5 they all work well. This is definately a nice intake also. The reason I got this was I haven't tried it before so I thought I would give it a shot. I will be installing it tonight as long as the weather holds off. It does use a dry filter and the filter does look like it was made much better than other intakes I have had. Just thought I would share!

Another thing I thought was kinda cool is they give you a hydro screen for the filter. I have no idea what they call it but it covers the filter to keep it dry.

The hydro screen you mention looks similar to the K&N drycharger:
DryCharger® - K&N DryChargers® are manufactured from a durable polyester material and are pre-treated with a proprietary hydrophobic process designed to prevent splashes of water or mud from saturating your K&N air filter. The DryCharger will also stop small dirt particles; yet add little restriction to the airflow of the filter. Please be aware the DryCharger is water repellent, not water proof. Depending on conditions and usage the water repellent treatment is good for 1 to 2 years.

Yeah it probably does the same thing as the K&N one.

Well I got the intake installed last night. It was very easy to do. Everything fit great no problems. I didn't get any pictures because it was starting to rain. It is LOUD when you get on it you can tell when it crosses into vtec. Otherwise its pretty quite.

I have been really busy so the pics where the last thing on the list. Sorry guys. As far as performance yeah it seems to go through the power band a little smoother and faster. I will find out when I get to the dyno if it's my imagination or if it really picked up some power. haha

You cannot feel that...

Need about 30 -50HP to feel it in your seat.

The brain is easily fooled by noise.
