i tip my hat to you sir, very nice cars and they are dream cars at that. back on topic,

i think it used to be ct usa, then they split now its ct engineering. they are still produced. the m62 will work on the type s but will need a different piggy back/stand alone. if i remember correctly the sc type s made similar power to that of a base. i dont think they used the fic at the time. a tl "fully done" with the sc at 5 psiwill make roughly 300 +/- whp AT and 340 +/- whp. new there 4,500 ish. used they go for mid to late 2k. one sold recently for 3,200, mine sold for 2,600 and one as low as 2k. dont bother running the acm if your going this route. i would say about another 1k to "complete" the build. not counting pcd jpipe and exhuast.

^^ short vid of a sc member here. he was recently featured in HT mag.

the turbo,

^^ heres a vid of it on the type s. it states 386 whp at 6 psi.

the turbo kit runs 5,800. i belive they maxed out at 437 whp. on the stock motor he has a base. additional money to "complete" the build..???

^^ a dyno run of the original build.

^^here is the original turbo thread. its like 80 pages everything will be answered there as far a turbo FI.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/kikazz-acura-tl-type-s-jandr-turbo-kit-transformation-begins-3-days-550-whp-goal-811586/
^^ this is a more recent turbo build thread. he has a type s and the goal is 550 whp.. he pretty much has the "works". states he spent upwards of 25k..

as far as the td exhaust. i dont think any one has successfully been able to. in one of your post you questioned if it would be worth it. i dont think it would be, if you pull it off the gains may not be worth the hassle. if you intend on FI i would say go 3" single.

for the exhaust and jpipe you have vendors on here such as heeltoe, exelerete and rv6.

rv6 is the only vendor selling pcd.

I would say with your knowledge and experiences with builds go custom!!!! this is my path....

hope this can give you some insight...

Good luck to you

OMG the second video is it!!!! That's what I'm going to attempt. Looks as thought the front bumper is goIng to have to be customized to allow more air flow to the FMIC. I assume their are no "complete" kits for the TLS turbo set up...?
As far as exhaust I love the RV6 exhaust with the dual pipes all the way back but I wanted to do something totally different and yes I was going to look into a full 3" set up IF the pipes will fit.

Check out jandrnextlevelperformance.com. The black car is a type-s and the type-s kits are very nice as are the base. The intercooler works quite nice with the bumper in front of it. I love the stealthiness of J&R's kit, my car looks pretty stock, I even roll stock ride height to stay under the radar.

I will check that site out but this is what I'm wanting to do as far as exhaust, just with my own personal twist.
