Doesn't the TL already have forged rods?

Quote:
2005:

Crankshaft/Pistons/Connecting Rods

.... The connecting rods are made of forged steel.

2007/2008:

CRANKSHAFT/ PISTONS/CONNECTING RODS

The 3.2-liter V-6 in the TL features .... The connecting rods are made of forged steel for added strength and durability.

The TL Type-S features .... New steel connecting rods are forged in one piece and then the crankshaft ends are "snapped." This process creates a bearing cap that is a perfect fit for the rod it is mated to, and a lighter and stronger rod overall.

ive read multiple times that theyre forged for weight and not strength they look pretty skinny compared to the aftermarket forged ones. i wish they would have options for pistons instead though

Are the rods universal across all the j32's?

Um, the con-rods on the site you linked are for the NSX (check the application chart), which uses a C-series V6 (C30A and C32B), not a J-series V6 like the TL.

The C and J engines are completely different, so it's pretty certain that these wouldn't work on the TL.

Yeah, the J has a shorter stroke, so it's a no-go. I couldn't see a company like Carrillo building rods for the J when like three people might buy them.
