Just threw some RV6 precats alongside their RV6 long tube j-pipe and now I'm fabbing up my own 3" exhaust to the back but was hoping to get some direction from anyone who has ever been straight piped and then added resonator(s). I've always ran straight pipes on my turbo'd j-series or at least ran them with cats so I've never had to deal with rasp too much however I know these things RASP hardcore when hollowed out all the way back. I've been researching the forum and see many choosing the magnaflow and Vibrant resonators a lot and I'm quite honestly leaning towards the Vibrants but figured I'd ask before purchasing.

Firstly, I am in LOVE with loud exhausts but absolutely hate raspiness. Is there a resonator I can add that won't rob too much volume yet still filter out rasp? Which one emits a decent tone at all or most rev ranges? I am more interested in utilizing a straight through design as I'm currently trying to make the most HP right now in NA form so the design is critical.

Does anyone have any before and afters of straight exhaust and then after resonated?

I remember a number of people suggesting the Aero AR30 for rasp (Aero Exhaust AR30 - Exhaust and Performance Exhaust) and I think Gerzand is running two Vibrants on his true dual.
