Straight Pipe
hi guys!!
I appreciate for answering questions!
and now, Im thinking going to Stage 3, which is dynomax resonator and removal mid-muffler.
Is there any option except for straight pipe?
if there is anything goes there instead of mid-muffler.....
and i have no idea where to get straight pipes stuf....

The shop you have it taken to should have piping...
If you do it yourself, you just need 2.25" piping.
I think it's 2.25"...might be 2.5", don't quote me.
And for the resonator, you're going to want (For the Dynomax) part number 24235.
Not sure exactly what you're asking but you remove the mid-muffler and in place of that, put a straight pipe.

When you go to the muffler shop to get the resonator installed, just tell them you want to put a straight pipe where the midmuffler is; they'll have the pipes there at the shop. And the Dynomax resonator part number 24235.

Ok, I will go check it!!
Thank you!
BTW, removing mid muffler does not hurt the performance right??
I asked this question at another thread but I was not sure about that so...

And before you come back asking why that resonator...it's the longer one compared to the 24215 or whatever part # it is. If you ever decided to do a j-pipe or other exhaust mods, the longer resonator helps to eliminate rasp.
No, the Stage mods will not do anything for or against performance. They are purely sound mods.

Thank you for a advice!
I just installed dynomax but did not do straight pipe...
mechanic told me it takes couple of weeks to get nice deep sound because muffler needs to be burned....

Although probably true, you don't get the real stage 3 sound without removing the mid muffler.

The TL has been out for almost a decade. It's pretty much certain that someone has removed the mid-muffler.

The stock exhaust hardly has any sound
Here's an idea of what it sounds like...
And here is ebelp's car...
Sorry, I have yet to get a recent video of the exhaust while driving.

I just got Stage 3 today!!
It is pretty deep sound enough to hear in cabin.
I like it so far and I installed it at local certified exhaust shop and they determined that I gained at least 1 HP lol...
Do you know any way to get exhaust more deeper??
how about changing J pipe???
