I just changed mine today at 85k miles... Good thing I did too... Before I was getting random misfires every now and then at WOT. When I pulled the plugs, the electrode was nearly gone. I'm glad I didn't wait for the 100k+ like Acura says they're good for. I put in Autolite double platinum I believe....

omg get those autolites out of there now!!!!!!!!!!! Just because the parts guy has a listing does NOT mean its ok to run
Right under the hood it says NGK or Denso and the part numbers!!!
The TL with its hi energy ignition requires NKG Iridium spark plugs- thats whats stock.
denso also approved by last less and cost more
NGK about 7 bucks each at most parts stores
The 100k plug change is a joke, everyone drives in the severe service column in you live on Earth. A member with an 06 and 70k miles recently snapped a timing belt...which calls for change at 60 if severe duty or 100 if regular
Plugs begin to lose efficiency about 60k miles, and these are the good plugs
Other plugs will burn out in short order and you will lose mileage and be doing the job again with the right plugs soon enough~
Good idea to run some cleaner like seafoam or similar thru the intake manifold vac port and the gas tank a week before plugs- give them a clean home to work in

Pulse Plugs
I use the pulse plasma plugs. Supposedly their worth 7-11 hp. My seat of the pants meter seemed to register some improvement.
However, I'm getting a little noise in my radio now at low rpm and acceleration.

while pulse plugs do well on other cars- they dont get 7mpg on the TL, maybe 1-2 but thats against old plugs. no one has done new ngk to new pulse.
results based on gen3 test
Densos have been proven to last about 30k miles (by gen2 meg-moderator with 250k miles on a TL)
while ngk will give a good 60, then still work till 100-- if you believe what the book says~
noise in the radio is a sign of problem with ignition--
have you reset the ecu since pulseplugs installed?- they require that

So far, the car runs smoother, and I don't get the random cylinder misfire CEL with the autolites... If they're good for 30-40k miles, I'll be happy with that, considering what a PITA it is to reach the back plugs, I'm not going to pull them and replace with NGK iridiums.

Its your car, run the funky plugs if you want but they wont last- watch your gas mileage to see
The rear plugs are simple with a 3 and 6 inch extensions for the ratchet/socket setup
People have tried bosch and said they were staying with them--a few months later they reported drop in mileage and put the correct plugs in

you dont need the Laser plugs- thats just how they welded the electrodes.
NGK Iridium IX for gen2 and plain Iridium for gen3
under 7 bucks each at major parts stores
the service schedule has normal and severe- many of us qualify for severe without realizing it. That schedule calls for timing belt at 60k miles. a ziner just had his break at 70 on an 05!!
Its not acuras fault if it breaks anytime after warranty~

As for 01tl4tl I couldn't find the IXs anywhere, these were the only NGK iridium ones they carried.. I asked about them at Pepboys, Autozone, and Kragen.. None had them, but I wanted to say thanks for the DIY guides to seafoam and plug changes.. They helped :-)

I am generally an Iridium guy with plug changes every 30k miles. I installed Pulstars in my RL and GX. The GX experienced a solid 2mpg gain, the RL closer to 1.5 or so. The RL does seem to have more response and more pull throughout the range. No real change in the GX. Plugs were free to me anyhow for testing purposes. Plugs prior to these were fairly new NGK IR. Seen other independent tests show more dramatic increases but not every vehicle will respond the same.

You were right 01t... Crappy gas milage, and I'm thinkin I lost a tiny bit of power too... I called Pep Boys and told the manager the story of how the parts guy said that the platinums were just as good as the iridiums... well I'm takin the used autolites back tomorrow, and swapping them out for the NGK iridiums plus the difference in the cost between the two plugs...

NGK IR. & DENSO is the best way to go for the TL,good for gas mileage, n a little HP not much though. plus it's meant for the TL, so I would stick with these two option in my opinion! n Autolite spark plugs not 2 be a dick but those suck, and they will affect ur car performance, n also may have more engine problems.
