Some exposure please!
Hey TL'ers,
As i am looking for performance and aftermarket parts, i've came to the realization that, the Acura TL as a performance vehicle has gotten no love from the aftermarket industries. I wish to see more TL get more exposure nationally inside publications, so then maybe we'll get a little more support.
Well i've reached out to import tuner and honda tuning magazine on facebook, which both magazine have not even mentioned anything about 3rd gen TL EVER. To maybe they can help expose the TL as a performance car to build. I wasnt really expecting a reply, i was just venting as i was fustrated looking for aftermarket suspension components. But then honda tuning magazine replied, and here it is...
To all the guys who have built up their TLs please submit your pictures and spec list of modifications to honda magazine. Maybe we can finally get some love from this industry!!

The Failed Honda Tuning Feature from 2006:
Also, iirc, someone did get a mag write up on their car; within the last several months or so. I'm sure I saw it posted, with scans of the article, I think. Don't remember which mag. Not 100% sure it was a 3G TL, but pretty sure.

Chicken and egg?
Personally, I would prefer that it stays a niche market... The more "love" 3G TL gets, the more "hate" (thefts, etc). There's enough out there to build a nice TL, but not enough to push it into the market catering to every 16-18 year old's wet dream...

Don't waste your time, you're not the only one. Everything from the ground up to the engine was developed here in the states by a team led by Erik Berkman and bodywork by American Honda designer Jon Ikeda. If you want the TL's look, you might concider yourself looking for a Type S J35, you might have more options as there are many lines in Honda and could be used in Japan. Your best bet is to get it turbo'd, go for looks, or sell it.
