So how much do AEM CAI give alone?

Read the before and after article about the CAI and CT exhaust, but how much does the car gain with only the CAI?

I've heard some stupid #s like 19 and stuff at the wheels, but is this really true? Why would Honda plug up te car so much?

The cat back only gets 7-10, so why is an airfilter and pipe going to make double?

Any real times at track, or on dyno would be great... thanks!

Probably not much

Intake alone is not going to give more than a couple of ponies if it gives any gains at all, probably not even enough to make a difference in anything other than the sound of the car. From what I have heard, the TL breathes pretty well with the stock "cold air" intake. Also its probably important to remember that just when you alter performance parts you might experience gains in some areas of the power band, and losses at other points, not just an overall loss or gain. But then again what do I know.

I am wondering if the sound can just be accomplished with the removal of the air silencer...

Oh I beg to differ. My car is noticeably faster now that I installed the AEM intake. I would guess at least a 10HP difference. The sound is amazing as well...

I just installed mine tonight. I have to say that immedately mid range pull is improved. I expect this to get even better after a tank or two and the computer adapts. The sound is great.

BTW,
Anyone who has been through the hell of removing all of the factory intake plumbing will know that there is no way it breathed efficiently.

$200.00 well spent.
