Hey guys as you can see by my signature I have what you can guess to be a very loud exhaust haha. Let me tell you it is and I love it, its agressive and racer and doesn't sound like a tin can. While I love my exhaust sound I do not like the drone. I csn handle it going 40 or 60 because the gear ratios keep the rpm out of the noice zone around 2-3k but cruising at 80 for the first time for over an hour was annnoying. Fifth gear at 80 is the loudest it could be and vibrates my brain, and while I could just drivr in 4th gear at 80 to get rid of the drone it puts more stress on my car so after doing some research I found a possible solution. Side branch resonators. These are 90 degree pipes mounted off the main exhaust pipe that cancels out the vibration from the main exhaust, the best part though is that it doesn't detriment sound of the exhausr or performance, evevrn though our cars could care less about that. The reason I am here is because the exact length of this pipe is what is important and unfortunatly the math it uses is confusing. So if any of you can give feedback I would appreciate it.
