"Adjustable RPM Shift Light...Set shift point without a tachometer...Dial in desired shift point... 3 - 12,000 x 200 RPM. At pre-set RPM... No racing tach needed... Does not require a separately purchased module."

Thats the advertisement for the ProForm Adjustable RPM Shift Light. Anyone ever installed, used, or know anything about this thing or others like it. Its around $60.00 but I don't want to just give my money away if its garbage.

not sure about the shift light itself, but having on that looks built into the stock tach (provided you have 6MT) would be pretty cool and useful

If one could be fully integrated into the dash (basically invisible when not lit - like turn signals), I would be game... but that thing looks like it either belongs on a drag car or Civic to complement the fart-can exhaust..

I wouldn't let that thing within 100 yards of my TL..

I installed a head-up display and couldn't find a spot with reliable tach signal in TL.

No doubt, I wouldn't want it visible ever!

I was thinking this...remove the stock plastic cover that houses the instrument panel. Pull it towards you and it pops out, detach the plugs for the trip computer button and guage light dimmer. If you could somehow get the light installed in that hidden space and light up the entire speedo guage, block light to the other guages if possible or light up the entire cluster...I think it could be sick.

Guys, I bought one of these for my old car a few years ago...

It was VERY bright, VERY descrete, and worked awesome... It flashes BLUE, too!

MUCH better solution...
