two questions.

1. Is it carb legal?

2. Is there a "lag" when you get on the gas like CAI.

 

I'll sell you my current setup. =)

 

the lag isn't because of the cai, it's because of the throttle by wire. there's gonna be a delay between the two sensors (one on the pedal, one on tb) when they're trying to sync and wehn the motor is controlling the butterfly. a cai would improve throttle response and also a bored out tb would too. and your ram air looks kinda ineffective unless your filter was enclosed. your intake will draw air in from the tube and the filter simultaeneously, (hot air from the filter) and because the extended tube is coming out, it's slowing the velocity of the incoming air charge. probably better than stock, but not by much. shoulda just bought the cai.

 

Oh, Its just the idea of sucking air threw a longer tube which would produce the lag that im talking about. I have also heard that from many CAI users.
