seafoam?

hey guys i just wanted to know what seafoam actually does for my car...i have a 2008 tl type s that i just bought. only have 3500 miles on it and was wondering if this does anything for me.

At this point hopefully it doesn't do too much for you!

Seafoam is a cleaning agent that helps clear carbon deposits in the engine, clean fuel injectors, and break up oil sludge.

and then if you search for Seafoam within the Third Gen forum you will find a couple of useful threads with application info, as well as recommended frequency of use.

Its a cleaner that you dont need yet. Start at 15000 miles

For total preventative maitenance, and max engine cleanliness- performance in this age of 5 bucks a gallon,
every 5,000 miles or so
use 1 can- 16 oz in a half tank of gas. That will clean the injectors and fuel system- everything involved in the burning of the gas!!

Make sure you use 91 octane or 93 if thats what they sell where you live.
Tier 1 brands- chevron shell texaco bp etc
