RV6 V3 j-pipe + mid muffler delete = Rasp?

Been searching, seeing some diff results people are having with the RV6 V3 and mid muffler deletes and rasp with PCD or HFPC setups.

I have no plans to do the HFPC or the PCD.

Currently I have a 6MT with a mid muffler delete. Looking to add a RV6 V3 jpipe, will I get rasp?

Anyone with experience with this combo?

Should I put the mid muffler back on with the RV6 v3 to reduce rasp?

I'm running a RV6 v3 jpipe and mid muffler delete and have no rasp at all. I am driving a 2008 base auto. I love the sound.

Remember, these products either the jpipe or pcd's will change the exhaust note.
by removing the mid-muffler, you're only going to make it more pronounced.

i actually did the mid muffler delete, but put the mid muffler back on before getting the RV6 V3 just so i wouldn't get any rasp. Personally, the car sounded with same with the RV6 V3 and mid muffler installed as when the car had the stock J-Pipe and the mid muffler delete.

I especially like this one:

"This one time me and my brother were eating sandwiches and he was like 'dude, I hate mustard' and I was like 'yeah.'"

"Cool story bro."

I had the RV6 V3 jpipe with the mid muffler delete and really like the exhaust note. No raspiness whatsoever. If that's your plan then I'd say go for it. Then I added the HFPC's and ensued! It's really not that bad even with the HFPC's but it's certainly there from about 3K-4.5K during WOT. The gains were well worth it though and it reminds me that the engine is alive

I had just a stage 3 mod to my exhaust and had rasp immediately with the V3 jpipe. It got worse with the high flow cats I installed after, but my MPG got better.

Ok just wondering if the "rasp" from the rv6 was the overall tone, or the tinny noise that comes in for a second once it starts getting high up in the rpms???? I never know what you guys are specifically calling rasp. I liked the tone of the rv6 pipe better but did not like that brief tinny noise that chimed in. What was that?

...that was rasp...
I think there are 2 different types of rasp though...one coming from the pipe being cold and vibrating a bit and sounding tinny...and when punching it, you can hear the exhaust pulses kinda battling each other on the way out of the back of the car...only lasts from 3500 to 4500 rpm's or so...so it's pretty rare.

I'm going with a 50% longer resonator to see if I can kill ALL forms of rasp. The exhaust wrap definitely helped with deepening the tone and getting rid of the first type of rasp I mentioned.

J.

and no, I know it's not drone, I'm not talking about the constant deep tone that gets annoying from a full on exhaust.
