RV6 Precats CEL?

Recently purchased 07 tl type s 6spd and was looking around at exhaust systems. Thinking of going with this setup

RV6 precats
ATLP J-Pipe
3rd cat delete
ATLP Catback Exhaust

Only thing im worrying about is a check engine light...any one know if the precats come with 02 sims...or am i gonna have to put the cats on once a year to get the car inspected then take them back off.

They do come with defoulers to keep the o2 sensors happy. Your car will not pass inspection without cats, so you will have to pull them off anyway.

Rich,
Can you let me know shipping to Hawaii zip 96786? I'm guessing these will work with your new quad exhaust once they are ready?

They they will work great with the new exhaust. The V3 jpipe was design to go with the true dual exhaust.

The Combo will be 715+30 = 745 shipped
The PCDs alone will be 346 + 10 = 356 shipped

The only thing holding me back now is that so called "rasp" which I've read can be corrected with installing a "magnaflow" but I am more interested in the complete package. Meaning with the Combo (v3 jpipe and PCD) then later installing the "true quad exhaust" (still under development) will this correct the rasp or would it still need this so called magnaflow? not even really sure how this so called "magnaflow" fit into the whole pictue...

Open question to All,

Good question. With the RV6 True Dual cat back having dual pipes, there is no room to install a resonator. Right?

I see the little mid-muffler in the pic. But, if someone installs PCD, they are going to need a much larger resonator..... umm, two resonators........ umm, side by side..... umm, no room

PowerCommander,

Sounds like the PCD are not for you. It is difficult (impossible ) to get the car to be as quite as factory once you install PCD.

From the tone of your last reply, I highly recommend that you don't get the PCD.

you can fit 1 large resonator after the jpipe, then weld on a y pipe to connect to the dual exhaust

I don't really care about sounding stock or not I just don't want that annoying rasp that you mostly hear on civics, crx, integras and the list goes on. I like the power just not wanting that rasp on my luxury car. Hopefully Rich will be able to give us a heads up if the rasp is there once a full system is installed on the test vehicles.

Wouldnt high flow cats solve that?
you would get the benefits of a PCD but no smell or rasp, or thats my preconceived notion.

The rasp is too much with the precats so I'll be taking mine off. The cars a beast with them but running without a resonator it's just too ricey.
