Let me warn you, this is no race car.. The exhaust is very tame, and sounds pretty much stock..
This video is to show what our TLs will sound like with full Rv6 package & stock exhaust..

KOOL. I know the V2 and a manual is awesome. I have an 06 manual and put my V2 in a week ago. And have the RV6 J-pipe/test pipe going in soon. I am not doing the other cat deletes, I need to pass emissions.
KOOL Video.

Thats a pretty interesting exhaust note you've got there. I can't believe its so quiet considering you opened up everything up stream from the catback. I think the tone sounds very restricted...the car wants to be louder but can't quite get there.

I know right.. I just need to rob a bank so I can afford one..
I am, but I spent my ATLP money..
Took about 4 hours.. Not too bad..
I know I need the Aspec quick.. My car looks so plain.. Im gunna get the front lip, and TypeS tails next..
I know it is pretty quiet right? Surprised me too.. I want a catback to fully open it up.. It must be bottlenecked bigtime..
The DIY pretty much covers it all.. Maybe dont forget to buy anti-cease before install, so you dont have to run to uhh ohh zone during install..
Also after taking the fan shroud out, when you take the front precat out, put some cardboard or something flat to protect radiator while you try to shimmy that fat ass cat out of there..
Also when installing Jpipe, its way easier to take that whole hangar off with two 14s I think..
Cant remember any other hiccups we came across.. You will be fine.. Took about 4 hours for us..

No, don't do that. Plain is badass. I used to have the ASpec kit on my '04 TL AT, it looks good for sure. But no more ASpec kit on this one and you know what, i think it looks better. Yours is nice pffpffpassthisshit, very clean

i'm no expert, but i believe the exhaust manifold has to come out to do the precat deletes right? so in essence, yes the jpipe would have to come out. i THINK...i'm sure others will chime in

Full of water...
cool, thanks for the input. i didnt install my j-pipe or race pipe from ATLP, i had a muffler shop do it, but i dont think they would be too keen on doing the pre-cats. he didnt want to do the third cat due to "legal" issues, so was just wondering because i would probably have to do this one on my own...

I had the same set up as you a few months back. I have the RV6 package with the exception of the precats(i have procats) with the stock exhaust. Mad power down low, but my top end sucked because the stock catback was chocking everything. Then I put the Greddy exhaust, and it really flew!
The only thing was that I could not stand the noise anymore. So I had the Greddy mufflers cut off and replaced with the stock ones. My car sounds like a comptech exhaust with the stock tips. I also did not lose much on top end either. Now that is the ultimate sleeper!
Once you open up the catback, your power with smooth out through the band. You will love it!

I'm so glad you did this. I've been thinking of doing the pre-cat delets and J-pipe with stock exhaust for a long time.
How much extra noise do you have inside the car and does it sound any louder at idle?
It sounds great in the videos, most of the noise sounds like the CAI.

CAI overpowers exhaust sound forsure.. But when you romp on it, you can def hear a difference..
DO NOT do this mod if you have your mid muff deleted and smaller resonator as it will create a very bad rasp.. Completely stock sounds good though..
