RV6 HFPC + XLR8 V2 J Pipe

So, I currently have the Quad-tip exhaust from XLR8 and AEM V2 Intake. I am looking to add the items listed in the title. I've seen plenty of vids with XLR8 exhaust, J pipe, and the Pre-cat deletes from RV6, but I was trying to see if anyone else has this combination or insight about it. I do not want to get rid of my pre-cats.

I would recommend the HFPC's, the car sounds much nicer and the engine seems to get a better kick! You could also consider the throttle body spacer also supplied by RV6 and HEELTOE. I also have the J-Pipe, so pretty much the combo in your description. Good luck with you future projects!

are you talking about high flow precats or the third cat being high flow? your sentence mentions both but they are very different

I used to have that combo, AEM V2 + RV6 HFPCs w/XLR8 exhaust+j-pipe. It was great, strong pull in vtec range and one of the best exhaust notes I've ever heard on this car. But ultimately, this combo was too loud and had too much drone for me as a daily driver. I had 2 choices - hack up the XLR8 exhaust to install a bigger resonator (XLR8's resonator is too small for this combo, it's perfect for a stock car) or swap for RV6 j-pipe and exhaust. I opted for the full RV6 setup and luckily, it's quieter and much less drone as is, so no hacking required. I def vote for HFPCs over pre-cat deletes, the extra 2-3hp from the PCDs aren't worth the smells and rasp you get along with it IMO.

OP do you have resonated or non resonated?

I have the resonated version with an aftermarket jpipe and when I put on HFPCs I had to cut out the xlr8 resonator and put in a bigger magnaflow resonator. Now I have no drone, no rasp, and it's a great sounding setup. You can see my mods in my signature but I basically have what you're asking about
