rv6 + greddy + ur + aem install + dyno

This morning went to get my car dyno'd(dynojet) today, best run was 238.35/207.60 bone stock, of course this is SAE corrected. Temp was 67.5, 7% humidity.

Started to install all of my mods today, worked about 6-7 hours. Full rv6 package is installed, along with the greddy exhaust. The entire engine is pretty much in pieces. We had to remove ALOT of things just to get the precats out. We removed the passenger side fan in order to get the front precat out, such a bitch. Honestly, you really have NO idea how much of a pain in the ass this is untill you do it. My friend and I both have big hands so we couldn't really maneuver our hands around to get the bolts and so on. The JPipe was SO simple, as was the 3rd cat delete and the catback.

As of now, the front wheels are off so we can install the v2 and pulley, and all of the stock intake is removed.

We will be completely everything tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't be able to take videos of the car driving since NY sucks and theres snow everywhere. We are dyno'ing my car again on friday to show the gains.

Stock dyno video, also check out the other videos they posted, the MB clk63 and the slr vs lambo. its good shit!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Gj0J...eature=channel

A few pics of the completed exhaust with my shitty camera, I will post more tomorrow after I get them from my friends good camera:
http://s274.photobucket.com/albums/j...reco9885/Mods/

Now a question to the guys who did the precat delete.

Did you put your factory heatshields back on? I didn't because I figured it would rattle like crazy since there was no place to bolt the shield to the cat

http://www.nrgtechracing.com/main.htm

99A Bell Street, West Babylon, NY 11704

The guy that does the runs is very knowledgeable, Manny, he has been doing it for the past 6.5 years. Its a nice place, the owner is very cool, his name is Chris Miller.

They charge $100 per hour rental, so I am figuring you can do as many cars as you can in an hour. When I go back friday my friend is coming along with his s600 But will let you know if they do that!

Oh and they are a hondata dealer, he said that the TL tune will be coming out very soon! But who really knows when it will come out

have you seen the ones gerzand came out with? dual diode leds ( two lights one bulb) im still waiting to see what they look like. he's been real secretive about everything he's done. but once the secret is out, i'll hook you up. Buda was suppose to have surgery so he not gonna be caring about any of this right now. And im not talking about just LED's. TL on a diet, S/c, rims, music, he still has alot he can do. and you never know, they might come out with some new shit and since he's done spending money, he'll have it for that item whatever it is. hondata tuned TL? i say go all out!!! Damn A/t wish i had a 6sp!!!

100 an hour isn't bad at all, especially if you can share the hour with another car???

i guess i will hold off until the HONDATA reflash gets finalized and they have it... if that ever happens, then i will bring the 3rd gen out that way...

yea but remember
half hour goes just on strapping the car in, then unstrapping then driving that car off driving the other car on then strappin the other car in then unstrapping that car

you can expect to get 2 test pulls on the first car, 3 full pulls, and like 3 pulls total on the second car if you work fast

That is true, but when I went yesterday, the guy had me strapped in within 15 minutes, then 3 pulls was like 5 mins, we spent the majority of time talking to them lol.

Anytime, updated time:

I was crazy busy today and didn't get a chance to help with the installed, my friend did it all for me. Once I turned it on, HOLY SHITTTTT. CRAZYY loud. Almost loud to the point where it is too loud. Took it for a ride and WOWWWW, I felt ALOT more power. My tires spun before, but this time they wouldn't stop. It could of been because of the cold, but I don't know. Only got to take 1 video, when we first started it up, but its on my friends camera so I need to wait till tomorrow to get it.

As of now, still planning on dyno friday, but it might be monday since my friend needs to finish up his car.

And tomorrow I will try to take a video of the drivebys, if not tomorrow definitely by the weekend.

I must tell you tho... from the outside ... probably drones like a bitch tho....

he installed the aero 2.5" resonator and it shut up quite a bit (but its still loud )

ps. the greddy will melt ur bumper garnish with no cats... higher temperature = hotter tips

I can't wait to hear it from the outside. Inside, it really does drone like crazy, seems like it is louder inside the car then outside

I was thinking about the aero res, but I want to want till I get some miles on it, and see how much louder it gets, honestly, I can deal with it the way it is now, but any louder is too much.

That is very good to know, end of this month I'm taking a road trip down to Maryland, 6 hours, about 250 miles. I am assuming that I will have a problem with it melting. What can I do to stop that? Other then put the cats back on. And also, was I suppose to put the heatshields back on?

Just spoke with my friend in detail about the install today and the end result of removing the stock crank pulley, was 2 broken ratchets(the tips broke), snapped a piece of steel that almost hit my car, and a broke extender. It just didn't want to come off. Torque gun didn't work either, it was 100psi.

The v2 install was cake he says, went through the wheel well with no problems, and it fit perfect, no need to bang anything away from it. Only problem is the battery barely fits, so I'm either going to relocate, or get a braile, shitty situation since the battery is 2 months old.

3 ft steel pole attached the end of a heavy duty ratchet, he then supported the ratchet and extenders with jack stands, while the pulley tool was wedged against the frame.

Quick Reply: rv6 + greddy + ur + aem install + dyno
