RV6 complete Exhaust System!!!

Okay so here is a small sound clip for those who wanted to hear how this sounds on a TL-S

my set-up is as follows:

RV6 PCDV2----->RV6 JpipeV2-----RV6 testpipe(3rdcat delete)-----RV6 True Dual Catback Exhaust

Sorry for the background noise will try to get better sound clip and also some in cabin clips, as well as flyby's

before posting the RV6 complete set-up here is what it sounded like before the RV6 TD exhaust

Stage4 exhaust only!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3M98...eature=related

this is RV6 PCDV2----RV6JpipeV2---RV6 T.pipe to Stage4 stock exhaust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MPltGEp7z4

Enjoy!! No More Rasp and more power win-win situation!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZFPotm-fUY

All feedbacks welcome....stay tuned for a couple more in cabin and also WOT flyby!

Sounds so much better with the new exhaust.

I'm not sure if you have the ability to do this, but the "O" clamps that are use to keep the pipes together should probably be adjusted so that the nut and bolt are above the piping. I'm not saying that it has to but I figure that having the hardware hanging down could lead to catching it on something.

here is my undershot... I hope you can see what I am talking about:

Damn that sounds awesome.

I gotta ask, does the sound match the performance/gains?

You can check the videos of my install on my thread if you like. When I get home from work I will try to take a few more shots of my allignment. I don't think that they hang down anymore then my OEM exhaust.

LOL, I was waiting on someone to catch that, yea I was making last minute adjustments on the right side muffler tips from side to side and I didn't reposition that O-clamp back up, it installed this at work and I have to be out by a certain time so that is why that one clamp is like that, but it will be fixed this weekend.....As I'm walking towards the car thats the first thing I notice and it bugs the shit out of me lol

I say yes you def feel some gain in the mid-range! but then again butt dyno can be tricky sometimes! and besides Im only 5at so it can only be so fast for now!!

Yea, I never was a really big fan of the Aspec kit for the TypeS.... (hoping for a company to make a diffuser for the rear and nice carbon fiber lip for the front)

What is the exhaust piping diameter? 2.25, 2.5 or 3 inch. Just asking, I'm getting a turbo installed on my TL-S and looking for 3 inch piping. I wonder if Richie can change the piping for me?

Yes I just drove my TLS from NYC to Florida and back to NM. Put 2700 miles on it in 7 days. Would definately rather have exhaust before drop and rims.

I really like this setup but I would go with HFPC's instead of PCD's.

Just curious what was price of this setup?? about 2k or little under??

Well if you go from the current pricing:

. HFPC's $595
+ J-Pipe $450
+ TD Exhaust $1199/$1299 (base)/(Type-S)

Total

$2244 Base
$2344 Type-S

If you get the V3 PCD's then there is a $750 combo price with the J-pipe

Total

$1949 Base
$2049 Type-S

I have to ask since I do road trips quite often. How loud is it on the freeway? Cause the one thing I hated about my old RSX was the drone at 70mph. I have an 08 Type-S AT as well. Let me know! Thanks!

with my set-up at 65-75mph you get some drone, but nothing compared to a RSX drone as I have also experienced how loud RSX drone is!

I don't get to much drone at that speed... must be because of the V2 PCD vs HFPC. I would like to hear our two cars side by side. If I ever make my way out to Beantown then I will be getting in touch with you.

I don't know about you Boston, but as more time passes, I don't even notice any drone at all Are you getting more use to the sound? Do you still love it as much as you did when you first installed it. I tell you, This is absolutely one purchase that I do not regret making...

well to be honest imho I think its super quiet, but to me coming from stage4 stock which was real raspy, I slight drone I do get is unnoticeable...I'm loving this exhaust everytime I fire her up....I have also had passengers in the rear and asked them how was the drone on highway and they really didn't say much to it. It's like you can tell you have an aftermarket performance exhaust when you go wot, but when I am cruising on the highway I have zero drone, only when I have throttle it or so I get that slight drone but I mean very slight to where I don't really get bothered by it or even really notice. I got used to the sound right away since day 1.

And yeah if your ever around this way I am down to meet up and compare exhausts and possibly do a highway cruise and hear each others exhausts!

Would it be a waste of money if I just have the J-pipe and the TD Exhaust without the PCD's and would it sound the same as your vids if I didn't have them? I'm located in Toronto, and I think if I did the PCD's, I won't pass emissions testing...

It would most definitely not be a waste! You would still see good gains. Do they do sniff testing in Toronto(put a sniffer in the back of exhaust) if so then yeah don't get PCD, if they only run it thru the machine, then you have no worries as it will not set off no check engine light.

As far as sounds it will still sound pretty good and deep, but maybe not as loud as mine, but still good either way

so here is some better videos finally

here is just starting up cold start!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTMoqhqVh94

here is taking off...on top of first I let it hit Revlimiter so you can hear it and then shift, man first time I heard this I was like it is really nice in person!! ENJOY!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dpNtNwX4RI

I also have some pics of where the bracket piece in the back has already scraped a bit, so if you are lowered that is something to be aware of!!!

Morrisey one of the bolts when I went to go move it also was scraped a bit so yeah def good idea to move those clamps and have the bolts face up and away from ground

That was the first thing that I noticed when I was watching the video

I am lowered with A-Spec suspension and I have not bottomed out at all... yet. Your set-up continues to sound great I'm just happy that we brought this exhaust before the price increase

yes indeed on the price increase!!!

And with the A-Spec suspension you should be fine from bottoming out...Im on Tein SS and its a bit lower than the Aspec suspension so I would not worry so much, but either way always good to be proactive and watch out for bumps and such!!

Unfortunately, they do the sniff test so I guess I won't be getting the PCD's but I will definitely try to get the RV6 TD
