Rotors

I have a 2005 base, automatic, TL and I am going to change the rotors soon. I am thinking of buying some slotted rotors and am wondering if anybody can recomend some good quality rotors. Thanks in advance.

there are many many threads about this, two that i have posted on in the last few day. i recommend RacingBrake brand and many do as well, but there are a variety out there. i went with a vendor on this site called heeltoe. here is a link to the main thread:

i went with the standard 1-piece rotor and the higher grade ET500 pads. read through for info and reviews.

I have the Rotoras and I like them. Racing brake or RB rotors are of similar quality. This is one area I think everyone should buy the best they can.

Stoping is the most important part of driving and quality rotors will enhance that. Pep boys rotors or EBC are just a waste.

I have Rotoras slotted rotors and ceramic pads and really like the combination. I replaced front and rear with the stock size. For everyday driving these are more than enough.

ROTORA rotors and ROTORA H2 ceramic pads or Hawk ceramic pads are a great combination for your TL.

I agree, but superb brakes with no tires are useless
stock brembo set up...better tires would increase panic braking, more than better rotors or pads

Thanks for the input everyone. I will look into your suggestions. I agree that breaks are important. I never skimp on rotors, its just that the dealer wants too much for stock rotors. Thanks again.
