Rerouting Stock intake pipe?

I dont really like the sound of a cold air, and the loss of low end power either, which leaves me with either stock, or an air box design intake.

I was thinking, I could modify, or re-route the stock tube that gets air from somewhere on the bottom of the car, to have it routed to right behind the front lower grill area. It seems to make sense theoretically as there is no obstruction from wind and cold air, and also it will still retain the stock air box features. I have also already remove the resonator, and the baffler inside the stock air box.

Does anyone have the blueprints of how the front air intake area looks like without all the obstructions/body panels?

aznbo187,

You have an excellent question.

Here are some threads that discuss the modification that you are looking to accomplish.

How hypocritical are you? This is coming from a guy who has removed his intake resonator, replaced his spark plugs, and got a grounding kit?

Last I remembered, those mod's only netted a few horsepower at most, maybe a couple psychologically as well.

If you dont have anything nice to say, don't post in a fuckin thread.
