Rear Sway Bar.

Okkk..This might be a noob question, but does the progress rear sway bar bolt on? Also how is the installation?? Do I need to take to a shop and have it installed?

Thank you.

It's a bolt on part and the installation is pretty easy.

I agree, pretty easy, even for me.

Crawl under your ride and take a look at the RSB that's already there.

Two connections per side:

The end of the RSB connects near the bottom of the strut to the Stabilizer End-link; one of those connections on each end of the RSB.

The other connection is the bracket w/bushing to the frame. These are ~12 inches or so from the end of the sway bar. The Progress RSB includes new Poly Bushings, Grease/Lube, Bolts and Washers. Two of these, one on each side.

Once the bar is loosely hung from the Stabilizer End-links. Grease the inside of the bushing and slip the bushings on the bar, then the bracket. Position the bracket/bushing and bolt in place. Tighten the sway bar to the Stabilizer End-links and then make sure the bracket bolts are tight. Voila, you're done.

The absolute hardest part is routing the old bar out and the new bar in. I had my struts out and tire off, so it was easier.

There are some threads on RSB install and IIRC you have to turn/twist the bar as you route one end toward the front of the car. Once the other end clears the exhaust, you can drop that end down and pull the bar out.

Here's a parts drawing. The RSB is item #3. The Stabilizer End-Links are Items 6 & 7. The Brackets/Busings/bolts are items 4, 5 & 36.

Blackura--
Seriously? Wow. I noticed a HUGE improvement on my 08 Type S the moment I took her out for a spin after install. (even in "soft setting")
I have been driving with the Progress RSB for about a week or so, and I am still impressed and STILL wonder why Acura didn't use a 24mm RSB on the Type S......

I give this mod.......... A+

I am still rollin on stock Michelins........but that's gonna change soon.....
