READY TO MOD!!! but.....

I have an 05 Tl A-Spec that I bought a year ago. Since it's A-Spec, I pretty much have the wheels, and body that I like. I was looking into lowering it and installing an exhaust. However, after further review of the prices, to lower my car and install the exhaust I want... it will cost me...*cough, cough*... over $2000!!.

Do any of you guys know if there are any websites that I can get some of these parts from and save some money?? I also would like to know if any of you did purchase from other sites with or without regrets.

I'm still in college so any money I can save helps

P.S. I've read about a "black market" section of this site... where is it???

You gotta pay to play, especially if you want to do it right, which you should.

Coilovers can be had for as low as 600

an exhaust, 500 to 1200

try getting the exhaust used, usually you can find people looking to sell their car that will trade your stock exhaust + some cash for their aftermarket.

Yesterday I went to the "black market" section, and got no where... all the posts seemed pretty old... Can you recommend a brand of coilovers that are around 600?
I see where you are coming from with the exhaust, and I agree... I'll be sure to keep checking around.
Thanks!

Also look into the Tsudo catback, I got mine new for 500 shipped on ebay. Fitment was perfect and it sounds awesome!

I believe the type 1 can only adjust ride height not dampening.

For the OP...
Car parts are really expensive man. Honestly, installing parts on your own will save you a lot of money if that is the issue. I bought all my parts brand new. I spent $750 on my Megan Coils and $1000 on my non-res ATLP Quad exhaust.

I just checked it out, and this is pretty much what I'm looking for!

The sound is not as deep as I would prefer it, but considering the price it is not a bad deal at all!

I agree... It is pretty expensive. Installing the parts will be relatively cheap (thank god!).. but I figured there were other options. I've been looking at the ATLP Quad exhaust, but I would have to buy a new back bumper, from what I've learned so far, and that's just too much time and money to free up my engine a bit. I'm leaning towards the Tsudo exhaust which looked pretty good.

you can save a LOT of money doing the installs yourself. you should definitely into it. don't use your fiscal money like so many others (*tisk tisk* lol). the DIY's on the boards are extremely, extremely useful and step-by-step. if you're looking into decent exhausts, look into comptech (my favorite), or the atlp bases (a little ostentatious for my taste, but definitely a good sounding exhaust). as far as doing a drop, if don't have a friend to help you out, contact a few locals in your area...i guarantee you, they'll have some helpful hints good luck! look into bilsten + h&r combos (h&r trucoilovers) and megans! phenomenal kits for the price! have fun!

The exhaust I can definitely do on my own, but the suspension is something I would like to leave up to someone with experience... thankfully I know this guy that can install it for about $150... Honestly I would love to buy the ATLP base or quad exhaust but I would hate myself for buying an exhaust that expensive :/....I will definitely look into your suspension recommendations. Thank you!
