Readiness Codes?

I installed my thermoblok spacers yesterday and missed plugging in the IMT connector which resulted in the MIL indicator coming on.

Plugged it back in and the indicator still stayed lit, so I disconnected the battery to reset it.

Now I get the 5 blinks which indicates there are incomplete readiness codes.

Can this only be set using the HRD by the dealer?

How does someone deal with this if the battery needs to be disconnected for various reasons?

Thanks

Well like you said if the MIL blinks at startup the readiness codes are incomplete, which means that your vehicle failied the emissions test or the test cannot be finished. Inorder to figure out which part of your emissions is failing the start up test you probably will need the dealers Honda Diagnosic System tablet to look at the data list. Although the readiness codes should clear when the battery is disconnected, try disconnecting the battery and holding the positive and negative cables together for 30 seconds which will reset ecm/pcm. Then testdrive the vehicle under stop and go conditions for about 5 miles and the readiness codes will then switch to complete, if not the readiness codes will not reset to complete until all the enabled criteria have been met or the problem is fixed!

It can take 100 miles or a few days to get the computer to run its driving performance test and reset everything.
If you ever have to disconnect battery before smog test- must drive to reset or it will show codes even though all is well
