RDX injector install.
Changed the wires around and still got the 5k wall. I also got P0172 P0175 which are rich on both banks.. I think its probably cuz of the new fuel pump putting out more psi than stock and when vtec kicks in, it doesn't like all that fuel. I had my girl read my torque pro while driving and when I hit the wall my computer was reading low 10 afr at the wall. Normal driving was around upper 14
If you need any help with the MS3, shoot me a PM. Although it's a real simple install.
I just fired off an email to him. He may come here and answer directly. If he replies to my email, I'll let you know what he says. I'm pretty sure they're stock injectors with the Aeromotive 340lph pump. Not sure if he's experiencing the 5K wall.
Just heard back. No drivability issues and the code actually went away.
yea, its def something in the injectors and the ECU not being to run with the aftermarket fuel pump. I'll add the JnR ecu this week. gonna look up how to connect it up now. I remember a spare wire somewhere..
I was thinking about this. There is the oil pressure sensor that would prevent the engagement of vtec if the pressure is too low.
I would think you would throw a CEL and I don't know what the drivability results would be if it was out of spec.

Correct but no cel.. not enough oil pressure would not let the motor go into vtec and will have some driveability issues. Iwill double check the sensor wires since I know the sensor wasn't touched... I know moving some of the wire looms, it might have stretched the sensor wires or something but I did think of this before...
No idea... It could be the injectors, it could the 2 step colder plugs, it could be a combination of the two... Never tried to figure it out since i just dont really care about the car anymore. Its just collecting dust... Its like a 5 year project car lol... Now that kids are old enough for me to leave them alone in the apt while i run downstairs to work on it, i'm ready to buy a house now and the car is back on the backburner again.
there's a certain set with the correct pig tails....if you grab the correct set, it is plug and play. otherwise you would have to make your own pigtails.
Thanks for the response. I'm all over the place right now playing catch up to all the years of discovery and development you folks documented on this forum so you'll have to forgive my eagerness. The more I read, the more I realize how wrecked I would be without it.
I just purchased some injectors without the pigtails, but I read on another thread that the 07 - 08 TL Type-S doesn't need the pig tail and that only the base model does.
Or maybe it was this thread...again you'll have to forgive me, my brain's kind of scattered from the excitement and the amount of info that's out there to dig through.
In any case, thanks again.
