has anyone used sea foam for fuel injector cleaning? i wanna use something that goes straight to the fuel line cause my brother has the setup and he said i could use it. so what do yall suggest? im fixing to fill the tank with gas so i thought i would ask its my first 3rd gen(04)
^is it running like shit?
take a look at the throttle body and see if its physically dirty with built up carbon.
Next, you can take a look at the EGR valve. check to see if its dirty.
I wouldnt use seafoam. there isnt really a need, as our cars run clean.
plus, premium fuels have detergents in them which helps keep things clean!!

Like justin said! clean the TB and EGR, make sure no vacuum leaks. These engines run so clean there are rarely any deposits. Seafoam worked well on our old 91 explorer. But I would never use it on the TL.
I've run seafoam in a few vehicles and got the whole "white smoke" plume thingy. But when I ran it in the TL after 70K miles I got nearly nothing. This tells me exactly what justnspace and pohjlm just said - the TL runs clean to begin with. No seafoam needed. The only exception I can think of is if you haven't kept it well maintained. A stuffed up EGR, low octane fuel or long oil change intervals might gum things up a bit. But even then, I doubt you'd see anything near what you have on 15 year old american vehicles.
