Question about performance chip

Hello all I am new to this forum. I have an 05 WDP TL so far all I have done up to this point is put rims on it. I am in the process of blacking out the lights and wanted to know which one to order from rock blocker. should I go with the 20% or the 35% smoked.

I also wanted to add some performance parts to my TL I found this on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-05...QQcmdZViewItem

it is suppose to be a performance chip. any though on should I get it? or is it garbage? Also I would like to put an exhause on the TL any suggestions.

I also want to get some blue LED lights for the interior anyone know where I can get some.

I will post some pics tommorrow of my ride, anyone in texas holla back.

No...these chips are total junk. As famously stated in the Movie "vegas vacation" by the Blackjack dealer.....

Why don't you give me half the money you were going to bet, then we'll go out back, I'll kick you in the nuts and we'll call it a day!

You would be just about as well off!

Ya, you dont want to waste your good earned money on those things.....if you seach here on AZ....you will find these have been beat down fairly often!!

Hondata is about the only ECU people out there that I have heard have done anything for our cars....and that is still in the works and is a reflash. Nothing out to general public yet there though!

Go with the Comptech Exhaust, a little pricey but it looks and sounds great. At least that is the one that I'm going to buy. As far as the Rock Blocker, I ordered the 20% smoked, becuase I don't want to be rear-ended because some JA can't see my brake lights.

From all of the people I've talked to, they said that on a V-Tec engine, chips don't make too much of a difference. Although you might also look on the Comptech website since they do reprogram the computer when installing the supercharger kit.

What part of TX you rollin in?

No...actually...they DO NOT reflash the ECU when when installing the supercharger kit...unless you are aware of some new thing I am not aware of? They have a piggyback unit that you splice in for the supercharger....but from what I am aware of...do NOT reflash the ECU. Hondata is working on something (rumor has it)....but not yet released or widely talked about.

Hey Mike, I am just about to give up on waiting for hondata. They told us 6 - 8 weeks on a heatshield, and no news on it yet. It has been at least 3 months and still heard nothing. Also on the reflash, they are working on it for the N/A TL's first. So if it is taking this long for them, it will take even longer for us F/I guys. Hopefully someone can find a way to wire in the e-manage ultimate for us. The longer hondata sleeps on this reflash, the more buisness the other companys can have.

It doesnt seem that hondata is making any progress. They did a few reflashes on the TL's but nothing since.

They have it on hold at the moment. It will be August before the pick back up the R&D. They are wanting to see how it is working out on the few they have already re-flashed. Give it time, its not going to kill anyone to wait. They will deliver a great product. This type of work cannot be instant, they want to be sure that what they deliver is going to be good for the car and not cause any problems. I for one am going to wait for the flash from Hondata.

I'm going to wait for the Hondata N/A reflash, just hope it isn't too much longer. Might be my last mod on the 04 if I don't need to replace my clutch.

no to hijack the thread. But I notice the NEWER Catback exhaust are alot quieter than the ones that I purchased back in 2004. I know comptech didn't change the design on the 3G catback exhaust, but I think they quiet it down or least the DROWNING noise isn't really there anymore. Mine's loud as shit compared to Ryan's.
