Question Quad Tip Mufflers!

i have an s type rear bumper on it's way, but do not want to purchase a catback just so i can have quad tips,, i'd like to go this route only because i'm not tryin to make my TL a HP beast by any means, more into the cosmetics of the car. i have been researching around the internet and came across this...

http://www.mufflermall.com/index.php...roducts_id=766

what do you guys think?

Pretty nice, but I like the tips to be staggered. Looks good though

Looks good, but I wonder what they sound like. Might want to try and stick with something that has been tested. The worse thing is you could have them installed and the car sound like ass.

I like how the tips are welded straight to the face. Very VIP-esque. =)

I like the price. I wonder what brand muffler that is. I agree with the fact that it might sound like crap if it's a mystery universal muffler. Try contacting the seller and see if they'll tell you what comapany makes it.

Didn't somebody post up some "heat treated titanium" (whatever they were called) quad tips a while back. Those were hotness.

Yes they did! Nicely burnt-titanium quad-tipped-exhaust.

^^yea they looked pretty nice. It was for a base tl bumper though so it was a bit smaller than what OP's lookin at getting.

these were my first choice, until i looked at the price

i am going with what i originally posted

honestly i think it's gonna work out great,, i have not seen any TL's with the set up i'm proposing. I'm not saying others on this board haven't tryed to do a quad tip setup on here, but i have not seen anyone with the quad tip mufflers i have selected.

That would be my only concern. The stock type-s is staggered as well correct? So is the rear type-s lip designed to accommodate a staggered muff?

It may work out perfect, it is just it is unknown territory. Post some sound clips after you get them installed. You may have found a cheaper way to get a nice looking exhaust on the TL.

It will probably take a little while. I think he ordered it a few days ago. I am eager too. I can't afford all the mods I want right now but this will do temporarily.

IMO, the best looking quad tips are the Type-S ones...every other set i've seen looks wierd from different angles.
