CJ... thank you for your interest in the J32. The most challenging part of the process will be engine management as it took a while for the ACM to be developed and still doesn't fully operate to the optimum level of performance.
If you're serious, and the project does in fact unfold and becomes available as a worthy product on the market, then I certainly wouldn't mind dismounting the CT supercharger and installing a turbo setup.
Another note would be on the design. If it requires an intercooler, the design of the OEM front bumper may pose as another obstacle. However, Versus Motorsports offers the only available option for this sort of dilemna. I will have the bumper this coming week and will hastily have it fitted on the TL as i have been on a year long battle to get this sucker in my posession.
I believe the CL guys just now got their first production turbo kit out on the market or are in the process of having it released that was developed out of Georgia.
Again, a turbo kit is possible by all means! ...Just gotta manage the fuel through the drive by wire throttle system.

I want one! The lack of an available intercooler and a real ECU reprogram keeps me from purchasing the Comptech Supercharger. To be realistic I think a starting price of 5-6K is more realistic. I own a modified 2006 911. I can sure my fellow Acura owners that these TL mods are cheap! When you Supercharge or Turbocharge an engine which was desinged to be normally aspirated, there are quite a few things to consider, hence more R&D time=more money. If you want reliability and performance you do not want to do these things on the cheap! Keep us posted.

I'd go turbo....so count me in. If the gains are there and the kit is reliable and not Chinese junk....I am down for sure!!! Lots of Chinese knockoff components running around right now...and most all of em are problematic! If we are talking good stuff...I would dismount the supercharger in a minute for a better power solution!

all the parts will be name brand. the turbo that will most likely be used is a garrett GT35R turbo. im still weighing that option which will be the first turbo we test on the setup. all components that are not fabricated will be name brand, including engine management.

i doubt twin intercoolers will be very effecient. the pressure drop across two cores may be a issue. a sidemount intercooler in the wheel well just behind the bumper may be the best option. we wont know until we start testing.

I think the smaller SMIC would fit nicely in the area alotted for the factory intake.

Mugen is too big of a name and exclusive to make a kit on a car they might have just really received and didn't have a market for and then for an application that still doesn't exist. Its not like a civic where there is a large market for it where projected profits supersede R&D cost/time. You'd have a better chance finding a smaller local company like MikeBenz did for the CF engine covers.

...but i know most want a FMIC. As long as it does what it is suppose too than I am good.

Most of the people who have interest in the kit are AT, which might be a problem because from my understanding, the stock transmission won't support a Turbo.
Let's see if we can get someone to build a Custom 6spd auto transmission first, lol.

1 install that later was taken off from a minor fender bender
1 shipped, arrived cracked, shipped back and waiting for other to deliver
and I believe that is it...
how about we need a new front bumper, cheaper than ron jon, in poly vs. fiberglass
![Tomato](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tomato.gif)
Ronjon has nice kits but i think they are done with this year TL for the moment. Last i read their focused on the Type S(rare), accord and a new set of rims so don't hold your breath for a new front bumper or kit design anytime soon

Components wise, once developed, are you gonna sell only as a kit or items can be purchased individually??
For a kit...off the top of my head:
-manifold
-turbo
-DP
-oil feed/return lines, adapter to oil pan
-injectors
-FPR
-WG
-BOV
-option to run boost controller EBC/MBC
-FMIC all pipings
-chip/flash/piggy/standalone
Anyway, very interested in the development.

I dont know if i stated it in this thread, i believe i did in the Official .... but i dont believe the piping developement is hard...that is simple. The main issue is fuel management with what have been rumored to be a pretty difficult ECU to alter.
nice kit though
