So what is it that is so hard to installing these things? From pictures, it seems like you take off the j-pipe and put these on the j-pipe and then install them back on where the j-pipe went. Is this correct or am I way off?

^ Waaaay off. These replace your precats... in the engine bay. The front one is easily accessed but the rear one is a bitch. Rust comes into play too. Trust everyone when they say, PITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not only rust, it is the fact that you can't use a torche on an aluminum block

Impact gun, breaker bar, a socket wrench and ratcheting wrench is really all you need.

dr brains, they replace your precats! Haha look in your engine bay. The front precat is between the engine block and the radiator. You'll see it covered by a head shield. The rear precat is underneath the strut bar, behind the engine. It also has a head shield (thats a pain in the ass to remove).

The R-V6 precat deletes just replace these precats with straight pipe.

CEL = check engine light.
I think the quoted time is usually 4-5 hours. Took me ~6 hours because we had a food break and didn't have a lift. My neck is still sore....!

My daily commute doesn't really allow for much WOT'ing

To be honest, the exhaust sounds so good that I really haven't been focusing on the performance gains

Gonna set up a dyno session next Saturday so we shall see...

What do you guys think? Base 5AT, AEM CAI, R-V6 deletes, J pipe, race pipe and Comptech catback.

CEL just popped up after ~200+ miles.

I took some better vids but its 34F outside right now and its pretty raspy (so not a great indication of what my exhaust note sounds like when its warmer out).

Trying to cut out part of the vid... will upload them soon

Yeah I'm gonna have to borrow a friends. I'll try disconnecting the battery sometime tomorrow...

Here are the vids... my moms visiting me so I had her record them. She doesn't really know how to operate the phone

Revving in P

Revving in N

In 34F weather so its raspy. Will probably replace my race pipe with a high flow cat... damn this cold weather!

Oh... excuse my mother

JnC, did the video help you make up your mind?

Al, perfection is a sickness. I think the high flow cat will top it off good.

Yes it did ,

Precat deletes + ATLP J pipe + ATLP race pipe

BTW here is a video I just made everything is stock right now, I'll upload some more once the above listed parts are installed.

The micro fiber towel adds 2.5 bhp btw

^ Thats how my exhaust sounded with the J and test pipe. Well, close to it at least. Glad I could help Oh, I'll get those pictures of my headlights to you too.

I can't wait to throw on a high flow cat and a lighter, smaller crank pulley.

I'm definitely feeling a loss of low end torque now...

Will unplug battery after work today and see if the CEL goes away.

I finished "milkman"'s install couple hours ago

Lift was not accessible so settled for jackstands...

That was the first time I've ever worked on my back

No comment how you and richie did it, how do you get the leverage needed to break oxidize nuts

Anyway took me just under 4.5 hours which is a far cry with the lift which takes under 3

My car has never seen a winter... so a breaker bar is all we needed

Damn really? I haven't seen any improvement in my MPG yet.

Anyway, I unplugged my battery last night and CEL is gone... for now. Will report back in a couple hundred miles.
