Has anyone installed these with a stock catback exhaust. Would love to have the extra power w/o the extra noise.

Because if all of the aftermarket catbacks are going to be that much louder, than I'm want to go back stock. My only reason for upgrading was for power on top end. Now that I know it does produce more power, I want to go with an alternative to keep the tone as close to stock as possible. You don't know how much I miss my stock exhaust note.

i had the pre cats, j-pipe and race pipe to the stock type-s exhaust and it was very minimal in noise as compared to now having a full exhaust system. The smell is there even with the stock exhaust on, but with a full exhaust the smell is so much more noticeable but i like that smell of burnt fuel.

What about the power difference before putting the aftermarket catback on?

when installing the pre cats, j-pipe, and race pipe on stock exhaust, what does this mean for your stock exhaust, does it need to be chopped up or does it un-bolt??? thankss

everything on this car is pretty much bolt-on, bolt-off... no breaking up your old exhaust at all... everything can be turned back to stock

i wouldnt worry about that too much... how likely is it, that a cat back exhaust will a) even give you any troubles and b) that the dealer can find a reason to null/void a warranty on anything in the car because of an exhaust...

Flanges FTW!

Dealerships are tricky bastards... if they wanted to void your warranty, they'd make up some BS. Good thing there still are honest dealerships out there.

To all with the deletes, did you get a reduced in low end power? I want to get these, but I'm worried about drivability.

I've been practicing brake torque'n, definitely works pretty good, been launching at 2k rpms minimal slippage, but not the fastest launch

Tried launching w/ vsa on, but it is pointless since it is unpredictable

^ lol... its so true though... everytime im at a red light with somebody revving their engine, i never know which method of launching will give me the best... i think brake tq'ing is smartest idea....

but not to get too off topic.. so.... PRE-CATS ARE THE SH*T !!!!! Yay Richiev6 !!

Just installed them last night along with mounts, coilovers, and rotors/pads...lol. As of now I am catless and the smell is "different" lol. Lotta fumes but I plan on doing somethin' with the 3rd cat sooner or later. Gains are very noticable...great product..

Most likely a leak. Have somebody get under the car while you rev it.

Cuba, installer did not line up the flanges between the precats and jpipe that surely causes hissing

Escobar, I tried installing wit an s/c, the elbow definitely has to be removed

if you ac is not working, that can't be good, mine only blows hot air thru the vents when it is powered on left on high and then turned off again, I get cool breeze thru my vents when left on low and powered off

the hissing is most likely caused by improper installation of the jpipe to the precats, also make sure they installed the delete with the flex pipe in the rear and not the front

I am pretty local to you come out to the westchester meet next sunday and I will take a look at it

I got a ton of them so if you need some you should come pick some up

you need 2 x 4 bolt gaskets, 2 x 3 bolt gaskets, and also need the other 3 bolt gasket for the jpipe because anytime you uninstall you should replace the gasket
