Dude threads like this are pointless
You shoulda made the thread after richie replaced it no questions asked

He does offer a full lifetime warranty, course he likes to have the pipe back so he can get credit for it having been returned and it also allows the manuf to correct the issue of why that pipe failed

I wouldn't doubt he'd take care of me but i've never heard of anyone having problems with the deletes.. I'm wondering if a defect caused this or something in my car caused the precat to crack.. I've only had it for like 5 months and noticed lately a ticking noise that sounded like the valves..

There have been 4 failures out of ~90 sets. So that is 180 individual deletes or a failure rate of 2.2% Just shoot me a email and I will replace it.

no need to make a thread like this untill you get the replacement. its like your trying to make richies products look bad, which they arent at all

Richie is a good guy with a nice product. I too have worried about the welds on the pipes. His customer service is so good that I don't worry that much .

HMMM I wonder...

Richie said its happened 4x .... is it possible, that broken motor mounts, causing excessive engine movement, lead to the pre-cat cracking

Good point

I am convinced it may also be a flaw in the installers part of they don't tighten the 4bolt flange last. And also it only requires to be torqued to no more than 15lbs

I'd migweld it if it was at the seam, then spray the entire think black rather than having to deal with shipping rofl

I don't think that was his intention at all, I think he was trying to see if anyone else had experienced the same issue. We all know RV6 has great products, the test pipes are a blessing for the 3G TL best bang for your buck.

So richie sent me a new precat, I had it installed..I drove around maybe 100miles and on the way back home my CEL came on P305...then p302.. So I pulled into a gas station... My navi was directing me to the nearest Acura dealer(oakland Acura)..on my way there the car really started sputtering bad and then all of a sudden it cut off on me.. It wouldn't start up again so
i had it towed to Oakland Acura.. The code p0341 popped up(camshaft position I think)..I gonna take my precats off and take it to the dealer.. Any idea why this happened?

Definitely take the pre-cats off first and any other mods they could blame the problem on.

^ ditto... i was think coil packs too... the first codes you threw mean, misfire.... so its either ECU related, EGR valve, coil pack, some bad sensor....or you've some SERIOUS engine problems...
