Hi guys, i just received my PowerStop Rotors and on one of them there's like a stain on the bottom right, u can see in the picture. Is this normal? Will it come off once it gets some wear? Thanks in advanced.

Use so brake clean and clean the rotor before you put it on. if it does not come off when you use that i am sure it will with wear.

X2^ Also, I just did mine tonight and they were Power Stop also, they look and stop nice. FYI DEFINITELY use an IMPACT screw driver on the phillips screws that hold your rotors on.

can it be just a strong power drill? or does it have to be a impact driver?

I'd go with the impact fur sure. Be sure to spray those fukn things with penatrating oil and also try to have an Easy Out or Left Handed Drill Bit ready Just n case. No not justnspace. LOL! Where is that guy? I can't believe he hasn't jumped in here yet.
Seriously though try to have this stuff on hand, I had to borrow it from a friend. GL

ok thanks, I'll find a way to take it off. I'm going to go spray it down with dw-40 right now, so i can change them either tomorrow or wednesday. since im going to paint the calipers red since i have to take the rotors off, minues well do it all at once. I have the car lifted already with front tires off, now i just need to find time.

mine will not come out at all to install my extended studs. i've read that some people just drill em out and you never need them again. i've also heard that you can heat the area around it with a torch to expand the metal, but you gotta be careful not to heat the wheel bearing too much.

OP, the stain is nothing to worry about. Clean it with brake cleaner if you want, but it won't harm anything.

The little rotor retaining screws will almost definitely strip when you try to remove them. I know first hand even when using the impact driver.

Don't bother using a torch, if the screws strip, drill them out and don't look back. The retaining screws are a cute idea but otherwise pretty useless.

No allen wrenches involved. I forget the bolt sizes, but if you have basic metric sockets, you'll be fine. This is the impact I use. Never any problems if I hit the screws with PB Blaster and let it sit for 20 minutes.

I bought the same tool as pictured above when I changed my rotors to power slot slotted ones. And that tool was awesome, all my screws came off nicely without any damage whatsoever.

ill definetely going to get this imp sdriver. Another question ab the rotors,
I'm looking into eline R1-Concept rotors. Can't decide between "cross drilled and slotted" or just "cross drilled". I've read many feedbacks stating that slots may cause shaking but than I read a few more, some people state that drilled holes causing shaking because air gets into it. I'm really confused which ones to get. But i know for sure slots =better stoping, drilled holes = less heat. My idea is to put cross drilled in front to reduce the heat that way i can extend pads life and plain ones in the back. Right now I'm runing on stock and I already replaced my front pads but rears still have more than 75%.

Is that true that holes causing shaking at the high speeds? I don't really want to feel any shaking on my car. It will definetely harm the braking performance.

unless you want to torque your lug nuts to factory specs so you don't warp the new rotors.
although, I don't know if aftermarket rotors will warp from that, or if it's just the oem ones that will
