I was looking on ebay, and noticed this Chip . Does this only advance the timing, and has anyone ever tried it?

 

I'd stay away from that. Given all the trouble Comptech had working with the computer and what Hondata is doing...doesnt seem right.

 

OH...My....God. Please. Do a search first. "Chips" have been covered on here more than on TNT Network latenight man. Ponch and John say they are all total junk!

 

My queston is not about chips in general, it is about only this one. So, yes I did a search, but didnt find what I was looking for which happenes to be the one on ebay.

Most come to the same end....junk.

You need to send your ECU in and have it tuned to your specific mods, ect and up to date....this is still in testing mode with nothing really out on the market yet. Check Hondata thread.

Yea dont waste your money on it, its junk. Not speaking from experience, I never tried it, and am not willing to. Just wait for Hondata to come out with their reflash. Like Michael Benz said its a hard computer to get into, and requires a lot of research and development to make each car adapt to the reflash N/A and F/I. So I doubt a company can make really good gains from a chip that is universal to Acura vehicles.
