Ported/Polished Upper Intake Manifold and Runners!
I have a Port and Polished Upper Intake Mani and Pnp'd Runners coming in the next week. Am I a guinnea pig or has someone else done this and know some rough gains from each/both?
Ive seen some other people post about ported runners, but none ever posted results to my knowledge. P2R (power rev racing) offers them on their website.
Im catless with ATLP Quads and every other bolt on.
Regardless, I'll post results after all is said and done. My '05 5AT is currently at 265whp/235tq before these changes.
Anyone?

I think it will complement the bored TB quite nicely. Might as well front the cash for a dyno cause, you know what a couple people are gonna say about your 'butt dyno' results...

I had a lengthy conversation with P2R over the phone and I learned a lot. After extensive testing they found that with full cat deletes and the high flow of the PnP'd setup, you will lose massive top end HP while only gaining a small amount of low end TQ from the MDX/Ridgeline spacer. This is however not true with a Tl which isnt a total free flow exhaust w/no work done... as the low end gain would not yield a severe loss in top end. For this reason, the spacer will be coming off of my car when these PnP'd parts go on. These guys know their stuff and play with the J32 ALL DAY on their own Dyno so ill trust that over spending double the amount on 2 separate dyno sessions.

Thanks gerzand for the idea!
Just got my PnP intake manifold done, and it's awesome! I don't have the TB or runners done and highly satisfied with the results!

Thanks fellas! This thing has really changed the characteristics of my car! It drives so much smoother let alone much stronger. For example it goes up hills without having to drop gears like before. Also before I could tell having passengers zaps some power. It is no longer an issue; like I having V8-like torque all the time. I can only imagine if I had the runners done as well. I'm loving it!

I ordered the oem, after speaking to couple of people i decided to go oem, you can swap out the type s rsx ones but our oem tl injectors are never pushed to maximum, so there is no point. I did not want to use my old ones back not because they did not work but my car has 93k miles now so might aswell change them since i am here.

Good call on that.
I understand your point about the oem tl injectors never being pushed to maximum. This applies to 99.8% of people, even those who plan to install every bolt-on on their TL or even PnP a bit. However, as in my case, it all depends how much work you have done. I picked up a set of RDX injectors for when my motor is bolted back up in the spring with new heads and all the goodies. I'll need the extra fuel

I bought a PnP manifold from a fellow member at V 6 P who had a 5AT and got sent a 6MT mani by mistake! He offered it to me for a great price so I picked it up. I wasn't sure at first if it gave me any power, but I did think I felt something the 1st test drive. I then experimented.
My friend on this site has a modded 6MT TL. We ran before I had the mani and before he had the PCs and it was even thru most of 3rd. The top of 3rd I started to pull slightly and 4th gear same outcome. He then installed the PCs and my friend and I installed the mani. We went again and the results were identical. Based on that alone, I'd say the PnP intake manifold gave me around the same power the PC deletes did. I'd recommend it without a doubt.
I then installed the PCs with a friend of mine and WOW! I really noticed the difference right away. I've hit the rev limiter in 2nd too many times now with the added power. I'd say from the butt dyno the PCs definitely added more, but it seems after the friendly runs the mani definitely gave me some power too.
Oh...another indication that the manifold added power was the 1/4 mile run I had. Before my exhaust and manifold I trapped 100.82 best in the 1/4 and 79.97 (80) in the 1/8th. I ran after exhaust and manifold with a horrible 60' and a slipping clutch. I ended up feathering 2nd and only trapping 77 in the 1/8th yet maintained to get some back and ended up trapping 100.1. So I lost 3mph in the 1/8th due to clutch failure, yet came back and almost ran the same trap at the end of the 1/4. That alone definitely made it clear I got some good power.

Safety Car
Ger,
What kind of mods do you have on your car? I think we're both fully bolted on yeah? I'm just curious as to how much I'm putting down. I'm excited for your port and polishing!!!
