What do you call the piece of plastic under your car that suppose to protect your car from hitting the parking block? I've broken part of that piece of plastic and I would like to replace a new one. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement for that? I have a 2005 Acura TL. I don't know what that thing called so I couldn't search for the parts on Ebay and Craigslist. Please help me out. If you are talking about the part I am thinking of, it is not to keep you from hitting a parking block, it is the front air deflector. The TL engine is a bottom breather, and this part is necessary to direct the air flow to the engine. You should get it replaced as soon as possible. Your dealer should either have it or be able to get one for you.

I think it is #29 in the picture below, but I am not positive so you can look at yours again and see if this is the part you need.

You are right. I broke the #4 part, which is next to the #29. I am glad it's not that expensive for the part. Do you think I can replace it by myself? The labor must cost a lot. Thank you for replying my message and sending me the diagram. I will replace it as soon as possible.

 

That part is not as important as the front air dam so you can get the dealer to order you one. They probably don't stock it, but it won't take long to get it.

It looks like there might be only the one bolt holding it in, but you can check it out for yourself.

 

What is Item 13 and what does it do?

 

It's a dynamic damper.
