If the dealer see you have it then yes, that specific part will be void. How about learning the car's limit first before modding it?

I had TL 05'

I know its limit
so those people must be lucky cuz they got away with it without getting their warranty void.

Short answer is "no", it will not void your warranty per se. If you install said intake and happen to drive through Niagara Falls and hydro-lock your engine, then that will not be covered, but if your transmission fails, then they absolutely cannot legally refuse to fix it under warranty. In other words, for any warranty work to be denied, they must first prove that a specific modification actually caused said failure.

I asked my dealer the same exact thing.. he said that it would void the warranty and that if its not installed correctly theres a good chance that it will mess with the engine light.

If you install it correctly, it does no harm.

Try bargaining with your dealership.

You don't have to "bargin", they got laws for this sort of stuff. Magnusson-Moss, I think it is for warranty.

If the defect/warranty work is not DIRECTLY related to the modification, the dealership MUST honor the warranty. Period.

ill say this now and I say this again... I went in for a flat spotted tire... the service advisor actually readjusted my intake for me, tightened my greddy exhaust and put some honda clips which I had broken... of course we didn't know it was a flat spot at first but we thought it was just a basic rattle.... dealers are not allowed to void warranty over aftermarket parts....

To the OP, you might as well get it. You can always convert back to stock whenever you want.

What is the definitive truth? All I've ever experienced is that stealerships state that any aftermarket parts void that part of the warranty.

It's like the guy above said. Magnusson-Moss covers you. How bad they fight you depends on the dealer. Some are mod friendly, some are not but in the end they all have to follow the law.

+1

You guys need to man up and stop being timid with these dealerships. I do notice the really young guys seem to get fed the biggest lines of BS though.

I installed my AEM and P2R spacer last weekend with no CEL; car runs fine.
