OEM Intake
Why are you wanting to go back stock?
Are you trading it in?
My dealer knows that I had all maint. records, and was aware of how I took care of my car. After I cut my deal at trade in, they reinstalled the stock system and sold it as certified
So, they made out pretty well !

How so SPAW?
Generally, by removing a part( ohh lets say an air intake system) you're unsure of the territory. When you Re-install you have a better UNDERSTANDING of what you did, making it easier to do.
Same thing goes for road trips. Do you ever notice that the ride back is a lot easier to navigate/shorter?

true.. your understanding of it is better, but the actual skill involved in reinstalling is often more demanding that when you removed it
to be functional, it can only go back in one way. Since you've removed it, you would know on how to put it back together. I'm sure all of you are smart guys.
It's a simple job, a CAI, not a turbo install.

the oem intake that the OP is talking about has many more parts than a simple CAI. i never put my oem intake back in, but after takign it out, i dont think i'd want to because its a pretty tight fit
It's not that hard but you may want to leave off the resonator. You could make a custom intake using the stock box and adding a short pipe to the bottom and then attach it near the front of the car to pull in fresh, cool air.
It was an extremely tight fit getting it out. I pieced everything together no problem so I know how it all fits. I'm just worried that it will be just as difficult to put back in as it was to take out in the first place. I had a AEM V2 in there that I'm taking out just for peace of mind I guess. The noise it makes at WOT is great but other than that I didn't see any performance gain (butt dyno).
