Okay, from a previous thread, i got persuaded into removing the mid muffler and replacing the resonator with the magnaflow resonator. it sounds sexy!

but i was also thinking of doing one more thing...and here's where y'all come in with ur yay or nay's...

i kinda want to extend my exhaust tips so that they stick out a LITTLE bit...maybe a few centimeters...just enough so that you can see the exhaust tip heads barely from the side...i can't imagine that in my head. has anybody done this and post pics if you have? thanks!

 

I had mine moved out, I will take pics later this afternoon and post them. Unfortunately, he moved the LH side out further than the right. But that will all change with the GHL exhaust.

 

I was thinking of doing the same thing when I went in to remove the mid muffler and add the magnaflow's because I noticed that before I put the A-spec kit on the exhaust sit nicely with the bumper. After I put the kit on I noticed that it was too far tucked into the lip. Hopefully we can see some pics that might give us a good idea on how it looks!

 

hey bro. honestly...how's the new sound?? i've read it on the other threads...but i want to get every body's opinion. from what i've heard it's freaking bomb.com! can u tell me how close to the g35 roar it sounds like. how loud it is compared to stock (i think stock is basically droned) and i dunno...if u feel any difference in the throttle? thanks man...i'm gonna do it this wee sometime when my magnaflow part comes in. and yea i'll definitely post some pics

 

whats the consensus on how it would sound with no resonator and no mid muffler?

 

i regret rmoiving both parts....its so brutally loud and wen u hit 3k rpms, RASP!!!!!!!!!!!! omg.....hopfully my resonator comes in a couple of day......

see i know taking the mid muffler AND resonator will make it sound like crap. but i think it was lebowski that said his car sounded nice and deep with the magnaflow resonator

 

yea with teh resonator will be perfect....like i know wat they mean by both is too mucha nd replacing will be perfect. i know wat horrible sound the resonator will remove once i have it installed.

 

Where did you get the magnaflow resonator? How loud is your set up? Is there any raspy sound? Just to recap you took off the mid muffler and put on a magnaflow resontor in place of the factory resonator?

actually i JUST ordered the resonator off ebay...so it'll come by tuesday at the latest (hopefully). i'm gonna get the mid muffler removed and the stock resonator swapped with the magnaflow one. i hear it sounds like a quiet g35 roar.

 

yea with both removed u get this loud as$ obnoxious sound.....and den wen u hti around 2.5k rpms the sound has like a loud as$ nasty RASP!!!!!!

wen my magnaflow arrives i will post vids so u guys can see the sound....
