I drive a 2007 Tl-s AM..and guess what guys? I THINK ITS SLOWER THAN A VOLKSWAGEN BUS!! That being said, i need to know what i can install to increase performance without interfering with my STRICT warranty. Please list what is and what is not bolt-on and if a do it yourselfer would be able to install w/e is being talked about.
All input is welcome! thanks

Best advice yet. It comes down to intake, exhaust and weight. Those wheels are killing you.

Get the RSX Type-R wing. Go even bigger on the wheels. Go staggered. 26's in the rear with 26x12. And 22x10 front. Then paint racing stripes and have tons of stickers to complement the racing stripe. Also have a fire extinguisher in the passenger seat. It's for the NOS but you don't have to get the NOS. Just the fire extinguisher. Also, set up a PS3 to the navi screen. Trust me... do you want to be invited to all the underground racing clubs??? Then just follow my instructions and live your life a quarter mile at a time.

^sorry, couldn't help myself.
Honestly, if you want a little more kick. Try a CAI (cold air intake). I cannot vouch for others but it definitely was a good mod for me. No dynos of my vehicle to prove anything but it was well worth it. Plus they are only $200-300.

How can you ask for so much HP when you can't control it? (YOU MAY THINK YOU CAN UNTIL YOU'RE IN THE HOSPITAL AFTER AN ACCIDENT)
Spend $200-300 to get a professional driver at the tracks to teach you some driving, it could save your life one day also.

Don't know about the volkswagen bus analogy, but like everyone said, you probably bought the wrong car for what you want to do.
That being said, to boost power, my suggestions are the following:
Intake, headers, and exhaust
ditch the 20s, get some lightweight 18s (Enkei RPF-1s are my favorite)
UR pulley, throttle body spacer,.
that's pretty much it as bolt-ons go. You can always go forced induction, but that's gonna cost you a pretty penny.

I dont know much about the UR Pulley, but could I essentially install it myself? Or is it highly advised to do it at a shop. Is it hard?

You said "STRICT WARRANTY". I would say don't bother doing any mods. Don't waste money on things you are going to have to pull at some point in the future. Just accept you leased a slow car and start saving up for the 335i or Audi S5 or IS. Those are sport sedans. The thing that made my TL feel faster was a supercharger and those are too expensive, IMO. I did all the other mods, pulley, j-pipe, CAI, cat-back, IM spacers and the only difference I felt driving it, was that it was louder.

As other's have said, your TL is slow due to those rims you have, loose them and you'll get power back. As well it appears you have larger overall diameter tires, doing so has the same effect as gearing up your TL meaning when you are in first gear it has the acceleration of being in second and so on.
After some digging I found your tire size, 245/35/20... Boy are you crazy!!!!
The stock tire size is 235/45/17, and has an overall diameter of 25.32 inches with 821.4 revolutions per mile. Your new rims and tires are off by more than 5%!
Yours have an overall diameter of 26.75 inches with 777.5 revolutions per mile. That means your speedometer reads 56.7 when doing 60 miles per hour in real life! That means your final gear ratio has changed from being 4.312 to 4.0815.
I wouldn't be surprised if parts start failing on your car sooner than normal, and if you speeding tickets a lot due to the speedometer being WAY off. I suggest you reconsider your choice of tires and go with the appropriate size, which would be 235/30/20 (.9% Difference) or 245/30/20 (1.89% difference). 3% is the limit for changing tire diameters by the way.

you need to chose carefully what you type - probably why everyone's giving you such a hard time! LOL
with that being said, if warranty is strict...
mess around with exhaust and intake first...

If you think it's that slow...DEF. trade it in.
You probably want torque so you can FEEL the quick acceleration rather than speed because the TL does go FAST. Just doesn't get FAST FAST. Know what I mean.
You'd be better served, selling the TL while you can still recoup most of your money and go pick up a fox body mustang for under 3K.
Then it'll feel fast, but don't be surprised if you feel like your new car feels fast but the steering feels unprecise, the braking feels loose, and have a hard time keeping the car from losing control around corners.
Either that or just appreciate the amazing you car you have at 19 years old for what it is.
At your age, I had just moved on from my amazing 1988 Ford Taurus station wagon for a 1986 Toyota corrolla...which was a huge upgrade to me...RWD and carburated...I had fun and it taught me a lot about control and the lack of when driving in the rain.

I wanna see that VW Bus that runs mid 14's. Seriously, unless you boost your TL, none of the bolt-ons will give you significant gains. My suggestion is to either, accept the fact that you car is an entry level luxury sedan with 286HP, or buy a faster car.

big mistake my young friend saying what you said ... looks like you got yourself a lot of anti-fans in doing so lol
do yourself a favor and go trade it in for a used evo or something ... so you don't have to worry about the "STRICT" warranty

Idk how you all can just straight up call the TL slow.. It's a 14 second 1/4 and 0-60 in like exactly 6 seconds. Pretty impressive for it's time and class if you ask me. Especially for a sedan and it being Acura..
#35
It was fast for about a year. Then everyone realized Acura lied about the hp.

Umm...so you considered the car fast based on what you read and not how it "felt" or the track numbers people are posting?
It almost seems like you're doing this to get a rise out of people that own this car. Fast is subjective. Maybe you got a defective one cause mine feels plenty fast. One time I drove down the block with the ebrake pulled by accident. Check for that.
