So my Brembo brakes on my '05 TL 6-speed started squeeling at 500 miles and constantly annoyed me for the 2 years I owned the car.

I now have about 2,500 miles on my '07 TL-S 6-speed and haven't heard a peep from the Brembo brakes. Did Acura change something or I am just getting lucky? (I hope the former!)

New pad design with chamfered leading and trailing edges seems to have helped

Do the new pad have alot of dust?

The Brembos do make some dust because the process of slowing the car involves turning friction into heat, which sheds hot pad particles and they get stuck on the rim where road dirt and rubber and such adhere like glue

3 coats of car wax on the rims will make them easier to rinse clean once a week with your regular car washing ritual. Several spray cleaners available that do an excellent job too

The pads still make dust but it seems far less annoying than on my '05 TL. I am sure the painted wheels make a huge difference as they hide the dust.

Rob, I'll second both of your observations. No squeal/noise from the brakes on my Type S (2 1/2 months; 3000+ miles). And there is a fair amount of dust, but the blue/gray stock wheels hide it pretty well.
