Thus far 3 different opinions. Which again proves why these types of threads are kinda pointless... Nobody can definitely say whats the best sounding exhaust for the Tl Because we all have different tastes

IMHO just do Stage 3, anything beyond that is overkill for a slow car, XLR8 sounds nice but not $1000 nice. I'm tempted to put my exhaust back to stock over the custom setup I have, I liked the noise for a little bit but it gets old quick. I am biased at the moment, I've been driving my cammed V8 car more lately so everything else feels slow and weak lol.

$1000 can be seen as steep... I also wanted the look too.. And personally the atlp look and sound was actually worth the buy..

$1,000 is what you should expect from a car that has such a small modding community. Fair price for a high quality product.
If you were looking for a deal, should have bought a 240.

I've always been a firm believer of "You get what you pay for", and $1000 for a catback, dual muffler exhaust system, isn't overpriced, especially on a TL. I had the privilege of coming into this industry with no prior experience or bias in modifications or the companies that fabricated those mods, including Excelerate. After hearing and seeing all of the options available for the TL's, I was able to make my own decision on which exhaust I thought was made and sounded the best. In my opinion, the XLR8 is clearly the winner. That opinion might not be the same for everyone but I have seen and heard all of the exhausts in person for multiple years now and nothing has coome along to change my mind. Tom (ExcelerateRep) linked a great video above showing the ATLP and the XLR8 exhausts.

Yea as most base aspecs are being discontinued many people just get the type s rear lip. So i think thats why bruce decided to produce essentially only a type s catback. Most prefer quad tips anyway. Although if you have base aspec already youre out of luck.
