New TL owner looking for bolt on performance any suggestions
Hello everyone I just picked up my TL last Friday 4/21 it is white - tan interior w NAV 5spd auto, I fell in love with this car in 04 and final broke down and bought one. However I am looking for a computer programmer or any other Bolton’s that will increase its performance minus the SC and or NOS option does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey and welcome to AZ and congrads on the Purchase...u will definitly not regret it. I for one started out with the basic cold air intake from AEM. I am very content with the gains from this mod and it only cost about 185 shipped on ebay...There are many discussions on Cold Air Intakes if you search...also i purchased the E shift procats, i loved this mod and i gained about 18 whp throughout the powerband, theres also a thread on this in the parts & Performance section, Hope i helped

Welcome Aboard!
You fell in love with the same combination i did...WDP with tan and navi.
Your best starting performance bolt on mod will be one of the few intakes available...
AEM
INJEN
FUJITA

I would have to say the 2nd most obvious upgrade due to the huge performance upgrade for the $$ is the Comptech Rear Sway Bar..for $100 your car can handle like a BMW. Especially if you have an AT it's a no-brainer, do it.

You may also want to consider K&N as well. The K&N allows one to convert the CAI into a short ram for inclimate weather conditions.

The sway bar I installed myself, so labor charge was about $0.00. I did have to buy a few minor tools, I think I spent about $30 on some ratcheting box end wrenches (metric) I didn't own before in addition to the metric sockets / allen wrench I already owned (oh..and a torque wrench).
I've read of people paying from $50 to over $300 to get this installed. Let me tell you from experience, as someone who is handy but definitely not a high-end mechanic, it was super easy, I didn't even have to take off the rear wheels. If you've done it once you could do another in under 30 minutes quite easily, and for someone to quote a ridiculous install price like that is just highway robbery.
If you have any tools or mechanical inclination whatsoever, do it yourself, otherwise find someone to do it for you cheaply, it would be even easier for, say, a dealer with a lift and airtools, or any mechanic, try someplace like Car-X or Midas, etc....and if they aren't cheap keep looking. You can find all of the Acura service manual / instructions on this site, the whole installation involves all of 6 bolts basically.

AEM, Injen, or FUJITA Cold Air Intake (18-20hp according to respective dynos)
UR Crank Pulley (8-10 hp - awaiting dyno but usual #)
Comptech Rear Sway Bar (More sprited driving but no HP gain )
E-Shift Pro Cats (21 hp, 14 ft/lbs of tq)
Best bang for your buck on the 3rd Gen TL. PM me if you need prices on all these parts. They are all in stock and ready to ship.
