I am looking into a new exhaust system i have a stock 2005 acura tl. This will be the first exhaust system i have ever bought so i want to make sure i get a good one! im looking for something that has a little sound while its still(almost quite) and then something thats pretty loud when i push it. i just hate those obnoxious lawnmower type exhausts


any ideas?!

comptech exhausts are relatively quiet. atlp has a little more growl. xlr8 is probably loudest.

^this is all subjective tho, read thru some threads here in the performance section and see what fits you best.

also check out the black market here, you can get a used one n save money that way.

 

^also get sound clips off youtube. Gives you some idea..It seems that comptech or now called CT engineering will produce what you are looking for..but its all in your hands

^loud as balls. not the most performance oriented exhaust either bc the fart cans are too large in diameter.

huge exhaust cans...bleh. but if you like that look, go for it!

If you see a XLR8 V1 exhaust on the black market, run far far away from it. Unless I'm selling it. I purchased the exhaust based off youtube clips and what I got vs. what I heard were miles apart.
