Hey everybody. I'm a college kid who's been into cars for years but has never had a car to play around with. Finally, I saved up enough money to make the upgrade from my '99 subaru outback to my NEW (to me) Abyss blue '04 TL (5-A/T, I'm on my phone while I drive for work 24/7 so I couldn't go with the MT). Clean carfax, 45K, $16700 out the door. I'm pumped.

Anyways, I'm looking for some suggestions as to where I should start upgrade-wise? My friend who works at Car and Driver has a K&N 69 Typhoon CAI that he'd be willing to give to me, is it worth spending the money on a AEM v2 that I see everybody talking about? My goal is to do about 2K-3K of performance mods this summer, tint (35% Front/20% Back, Michigan tint ), and possibly fool around with the sound system depending on how much money I have.

What mods would I see the most bang for the buck?

For now, Me and my C&D friend are going to mod the stock exahust and cat delete later tonight.

I've searched around the forms a lot without posting but I'm really just looking for some personalized advice. Thanks guys and I'm absolutley in love with the car!

I just installed the V2 a couple of weeks ago man and from the other thread your local to ann arbor right? well anyway PM me and come check out my V2 if you want to see if you think it is worth it which it completely is. Any I have my exhaust and jpipe in the mail so you can see before and after to see if that is the next step in modding for you. By the way congrats on the car you'll love it!!
