need help with which exhaust

I have an 04 tl 6mt
its all stock parts right now but I am looking at to change my exhaust + catback,(if Im saying it correctly)

I was told by a friend that Tanabe Hyper Medallion sounds sweet but after a thorough research there were other options: the dilemma is I can't decide.

I dont know much about cars so I need help guys. Give me help with what you guys recommend.

Greedy, comptech or whaqtever u guys know.

I have a friend who will install (a mechanic) but I just don't know what to choose.

Please provide with link n explanation if needed.

Thanks!

theres the greddy, comptech, tanabe, atlp quad, atlp base, excelerate and i beleive thats it..unless you make a custom one....use the search and youll find tones of different threads on these exhaust..it just really depends on what look, and sound you are going for...performance wise they are all pretty similiar...most will say atlp quad or greddy....i have the greddy and love it!
hope that helps

comptech is the best sounding, and non droning exhaust on the market, I have had greddy and it droned way too much

Yes. I believe any exhaust without a resonator and/or mid muffler is going to drone. Also depends on the engine. The 3.5 (Type-S) seems to be more drone-prone than the 3.2.

I haven't heard an ATLP with a test pipe (resonated) or a dedicated resonator so I don't know how that setup sounds, but I have had the ATLP race pipe (non-resonated) and now the HFC and both setups drone. I didn't think I would, but I've gotten used to it for the most part. Adding a resonator would cut it some but then you'll also lose the outside sound of the exhaust with it.

atlp base works, but if ur impatient, hit up xlr8 for a comptech cb, since he stockes these and ships out quick as fuck.

I say the ATLP and GReddy. They're my two favorites.

I have the Comptech exhaust and love it. Love it even more after having heard in person the ATLP and Greddy's exhausts. Haven't heard Tanabe or XLR8 though.

+1. Yup. It drones, but I ALWAYS want to hear what my car sounds like from the outside.

I have seen some great testament to the Comptech catback exhaust as far as sound and droning. Other than a slight possible HP tradeoff, is their any other shortfalls of the Comptech catback compared to the other options?

I am getting ready to purchase.
