So sad. Tundras are not fast. If you have to give it more than 1/4 pedal to beat a truck you are not fast.

Yeah I know. Seeing I was in Highschool practically with no job to support doing anything to my car. The pipe modding was only 80$ bucks so meh just done that fort the hell of it. This car's definitely a project for me.

cut the kid a break, he is excited(and you should be espicially if this is your first car)....if you like it then do you....i know what you mean about cameraphone doing no justice to the sound. to this crowd I'm considered ricey as well, but driving around here no one has the guts to come and tell me I'm ricey or my car sounds bad....Although I must say just cruising around the car really does not sound loud at all, I dont know how urs sound, but at least mine don't and have no issues with cops....either Good luck with future mods and think about some RV6 parts, you won't regret it

I did some of the same stuff at 17, unbolt the exhaust, disconnect the front swaybar, install an airbag in the right rear spring as a poor man's posi, poke holes in the wastegate vacuum line to turn the boost up because I couldn't afford the $20 bleeder valve. I had no money then so I know what it's like to make your own free mods.
However, the swaybar went back on, the exhaust was capped back up, and the airbag was deflated once it was back on the street. I could sort of justify it because these free mods put me in the high 12s.
What I'm getting from this guy is trying to sound fast while going slow. It's kind of funny and I wouldn't react as much if I had not seen a thousand imports done up the same way racing everything in sight, blowing your eardrums with loud exhaust on a 250hp car. And worst of all truly thinking they're fast because they can edge out a pickup truck. If I'm wrong about the kid, my apologies.

I'm 17. Can't afford modding so I don't. I've got plate covers. ![Shrug](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/shrug.gif)
If you can't afford to do it right, just don't do it.

In high school with a TL and cant afford to mod it correctly... something seems wrong with that. Civic's are cheaper to mod and this sound would be perfect on a civic or as said a v6 crapstang.
Im not trying to hate but a TL is more for a lux car and should not be hacked like that.
ps... Street racing is STUPID, but thats why highschool kids do it...

Excited, yes. Ricy, no.

in my opinion if everyone doesn't like it give the kid da money and help him fix it..
.. if not let him enjoy his car and his own mod's! not everyone has the money to afford all the mods everyone else is doing.

Already replaced with a magnaflow cat, and borla muffler. Getting a-spec front lip soon. then type-s back lights. I do have money to mod I just don't tend to waste all of it at once. Kinda need it for college. That wasn't me racing in the first place either. Street racings a waste of gas.
Working at olive garden sucks
oh angel eyes this sunday <3 interior is all blue led
*to everyone else
Out of all due respect. I'm sure this car would've measured up to what you expect it to be... if I was also over 30 years old, and had it for a long time with a decent cash flow of my own. Again out of all due respect I'm saying this. It's 1 thing to give suggestion, and then there's a cruel way to just talk crap. Suppose to be the elders with more experience right.. Then please send some suggestions this way instead of bashing. Or don't even comment at all.
