My cars dyno results

I'm going to post SAE corrected numbers. The numbers look pretty good to me considering it was almost 90 degrees and 50% humidity. Mods are an AEM intake and UR underdrive pulley. Automatic trans. Sorry for the size of the photo. https://acurazine.com/forums/album.p...ictureid=17784

dynojet. And those are SAE corrected numbers. I tried to create the worst possible situation I could so I could have solid numbers.

And I drove the car there. About a 45 minute ride. Notice how the numbers got better every time as the fans cool the car down. I'm very happy with these numbers. And I don't really have much into the car in terms of mods.

You should have dynoed the car before the mods. Now you have no clue if the mods are giving you any power (if any at all).

i'm sure there are other's who have dyno'ed in stock. The stock #'s rarely vary much.

Cant be arent those auto specs. 6MT's have more power due to the lack of Tq converter...right

Seems about right. We're looking at around 15% drivetrain loss, so 258 divided by 15% would be 224 whp.

From what I've seen. Stock autos seem to put out about 210-215hp at the wheels. Manual cars about 10 more hp. So those could be good numbers for a 6spd car. I'm noticing that alot of us even with dyno sheets are right at 200 lbft of torque. Even on my best standard run not SAE corrected, my torque was at 202 lbft. Ofcourse thats no surprise to me. I'm wondering what mod to do next. I don't want that tinty bug sound, but I do wan to free up the exhaust. Things area little tight for eshift procats right now or I'd buy a set.

Why don't you get a jpipe? From what I've heard the e-shift procats were not worth the money.

If they are in good shape, I might be interested in buying them. Money is tight right now, but keep me posted on your plans.

SAE correction is where its at. everyone always posts the uncorrected numbers, which are complete BS.

And dyno numbers dont mean shit, dyno numbers are just that....NUMBERS

I did my stock dyno on a dynojet; came out to be 230hp/210tq. Not bad for a stock car. After the CAI, pulley, spacers, and procats; I got 248hp/225tq. I have no idea what I'm making now, but it has to be another 20hp with some torque to boot!

Very satisfied!

dyno readings got nothing to do with SEA certified ratings..... first the car was rated at 270 (first year) ....untill SAE certified came into effect....that doesnt change the power the car puts to the wheels... if it dynod 230 whp when it was rated at 270 bhp...it will still dyno 230 whp with the new rating of 258....

the changes between 270 and 258 are a result of how manufacturers tested their engines... for example....270 bhp really means hp from the motor almost without any accesories, such as altenator, AC, steering pump...not even a stock exhaust manifold and such...then u had SAE net hp. thats from a production motor, including all belt driven accesories, and exhaust... thats why sometimes it can be confusing when u hear of a car lets say rated at 420 hp...but it puts down 320 at the wheels... i mean geeez...thats 100 hp loss supposedly throgh the drive train...but what it also means is that hp rating is actually on a stipped motor...

dyno reads hp at the wheels...it doesnt care what u rate the motor at....if it was first rated at 300...then later at 270...if dyno reads 230...230 it is

but every single dyno is different.

people try to compare their dyno vs another.

its impossible, and will never be truely accurate. there are WAY to many variables
