Mods Advice

Hey guys, im pretty new but i've been roaming the forums for a while now. I'm thinking about putting some engine mods on my car finally heres what i wanted to get

Injen CAI vs AEM v2 ( I see alot of people with the AEM V2, idk which one is better)

Also an Exhaust but I would like to keep my Type S Tips , so the noobie i came ill ask this question, is there a way i can still keep my tips but add some power? im assuming down pipes

I'm hearing alot about RV-6 Cat deletes, or Pre cat deletes adding alot of power, i'd like to know some more information about that. and also a UR Crank Pully.

I have an 08 5AT type S btw.

Go to exhaust shop and have them remove the third muffler and buy a aero resonator to replace stock. Also, an intake is an intake. And, pre-cat deletes are up to you best bang for buck - read about them, Id go J-pipe easy to install and gives you nice hp. UR pulley is nice to have as well. Being on this form will make you want to do everything trust me, its my case.

AEM V2 ftw, it is better than the Injen if you ask me. Although the Injen is still good!

So there is no need for an exhaust
system? Alright ill go with a xlr8 j pipe and AEM v2. Do you guys have any more informaton on the pre cat
deletes and crank pulley?
Can you explain more on the mid
muffler and aero resonator. Like sound, hp etc.
Sorry i sound so noob

I have the injen cai, magnaflow catback and ur crank pulley stock diameter. That would be a good start for you. and like the guys said the richies j-pipe/testpipe combo is a nice addition!

What I'm about to do is get the ATLP J-Pipe V2 (slammed friendly is the only reason over xlr8 j-pipe) and an atlp race pipe. Those will do you some good. I already have and aem v2!

Mid muffler and aero resonator will not do much for power gains, but it will give you a G35-is sound. XLR8 or ATLP J-pipe WILL give you noticeable power gains. If your lowered more than 1.5" go with ATLP. I'm only on 1" drop but still choose to go with ATLP just to be sure and to match my ATLP cat back.

thanks guys, so whats the difference with the test pipe and a race pipe im hearing? I heard about the new product v2 RV-6 eh. here is my set up hopefully will have all of these by spring

1.Mid muffler - Aero Resonator
2.AEM v2 CAI
3. Pre cat Deletes
4. ATLP J Pipe V2
5. UR Crank Pulley
6. ATLP Race Pipe

Im assuming all this will get me close to 2,000$$

anything else? wouldnt i need to have some external bolts? since its a 5AT?

Test pipe is resonated, where a race pipe is just a simple pipe.

So if you get a race pipe, it won't past inspection until you get it resonated?

As far as I know the only difference between the 2 is the different tone it will give your exhaust. Flow should be the same with both. and as for failing emission test ... it really depends how strict is the test. I think it should be OK cause the firs 2 cats do most of the work anyways, but I'm not sure.
