I cleaned up the thread a little bit. to the OP, I wouldn't go with the TL-S rims, instead I would spend the money elsewhere as the type-S rims are nothing special. I would suggest that you spend the money on:
AEM Cold Air Intake: gives power and a nice sound
UR Crank Pulley: Helps the motor rev up faster for quicker power
Progress Rear Sway Bar: Helps tie up the rear end of the car and reduce understeer, it makes the car drive so much better

and you will still have money left to spare on that exhaust too.

Dude rather than get wheels, put a 10mm spacer on each wheel, it will push the wheel outward and make the look extremely aggressive, then lower it and it will make the drop look sweet, If I hadthose wheels I'd powdercoat themblack and spend the rest of the cash on a type s rear lip and atlp or xlr8 quads... Custom quads were good bfore youhad options

Since there are a handfull of exhausts to choose from I wouldn't go custom unless ur nuts like me an wanted single exit

Yo i bought an o8 TL base 3 months ago. It pretty cool car, but i really wanted an infinit g35, but this car is still good. Though i leased it for 3 years. So i wont do any mods. Any ways u should defenitly get a AEM CAI, some quad pipes, and UR pulley, and maybe a TBS, that shouldn't be more then 650$ if u get good prices. I would take performance any day over looks. Then u should get rims hopefully if it will be in ur price rang , try not to get those gangster rims that are like 22. U should get lightweight rims, Then ull want to sleep in ur car haa.

+1

i have 2 of the three and well worth it...approx $400 total(250(intake)+140ish)

the pulleys or TB spacer with thermal gaskets is next on my list

most likely the TB spacer...

Don't get any freaking suspension stuff wow. The car is freaking low enough and handles good enough, it's just a waste of money.

Acutally the TL handles light years better with the RSB, it feels more stable, turns can be taken faster and much more comfortably, the car essentiall will go where you want much more easily. And that is just with the RSB, if you do a full setup (coil-overs, etc) the car will drive like it's on rails.

To the OP, did you get any of the stuff yet?
