MDX cams in '04 base
#6
I was looking at the rl cams too but I didn't see that much of a difference for the cost but I also do not know a lot about cams. If anyone with better knowledge could help that would be great and what about my stock springs and retainers will they hold up to the new can?

i just did ported, polished, 3 angled heads and backcut valves as a first, haha. but i was doing a 150k mile refresh for my wife's car. couldnt let myself leave it alone.
i check every week on whether or not there's cam options for this car, but it seems the answers so far have been
* Omgerd I installed da new cam and much faster very VTEC (no dyno before/after)
* I installed type-s, and gained nothing
* I installed type-s and gained top end
* BISMOTO cams are off on their timing (I_love_cars)
* you'd have to create your own custom cam gear and cams to get this job done in any remotely worthwhile manner
The last option there hasnt been proven wrong, yet.

ILC did a custom stage 3 grind from web not bisimoto I know Andy was running bisi cams not sure if he had any problems but seemed like he had it running well on I think it was stage 2 bisi cams
If you go with a regrind look into wpc treating them afterwards I've been told its worth every penny and will harden the cams some more after the regrind and rehardening
I've been told a good rule of thumb with regrinds is to keep the exhaust duration within 10 degrees of the intake
